Sexist bias? Must have been referring to China.

Yea, I always thought it would be referring to China since she lost to a man there, but her loss in China was mostly because of her FTC performance. I'm
just guessing the 'sexist bias' refers to the double standard on female players. So in China, she was a deceitful female, who lost to a more deceitful
male, but in Micronesia, she played a loyal game, but lost to the deceitful female. My assumption would be that if Amanda were a man, who played an honourable
game, and went up against Parvati (or any deceitful woman), she would've won. Kinda like the Bob/Sugar/Susie type situation.
However, as Erik said (I think), it was Parvati's job to charm the women, while it was Amanda's job to charm the men, so Parv probably already knew the men would be voting Amanda's way, so Parvati secured herself a win with the women + Jason I guess.. |

I'm so glad that Survivor contestants in Tocantins look up to Amanda, because she really did have a strong, solid game plan. So if Sydney and Stephen make it far, I won't complain =) The Amanda fans have to unite! |

Aspiring to be the next Parvati or Cirie would be beyond the social, strategic, persuasive, or flirting ability of most girls. But any girl who is sensible and
athletic can try to emulate Amanda, who provides a good model of competent Survivor play that requires no special charisma or brilliance.
Thus Sydney using Amanda as a model makes sense given her personality, but doesn't mean that Amanda is the ultimate in female Survivor play.

I just love Parvati, Amanda, and Cirie. Probably the best final three ever. Amanda <3 |

For players who just want to get far and win, not considering OTT entertainment value, the Vecepia/Danni/Amanda models work very nicely. Amanda played a strong game, and until the final 3, she was very calm and collected, and I'd imagine that's hard to pull off twice on Survivor. However, in this age of mactors, I'm sure more recruits would like to get some exposure, and not play an UTR game. Then there's the Parvati/Cirie types, who take huge risks could pay off, but they cannot succeed in every season. |

This just in... there is a third Amanda fan in Tocantins! I give you an excerpt from an interview with Sierra:
Besides preparedness, Sierra's strategy apparently involves being in an alliance similar to Amanda and Todd's; I say "apparently" because I'm not quite sure how to characterize this strategy. She said "leaders go to the guillotine ASAP. Like I said before, my main strategy is to have the full-with Amanda-I don't know if you ever watched the show?-what Amanda did with Parvati and what Amanda also did with the flight attendant in season 15. The little guy, Todd, the guy who won. If you have a sincere mono-e-mono, like one on one, and if you take it all the way to the end-you don't have to fight each other at the end, so you have nothing to lose if you build each other."Amanda has such an admirable strategy that so many people wanna model their games after her <3 |

Yea, Sierra and Sydney seem to want to emulate Amanda's strategy, while Stephen just said he respected her gameplay. I stand by my belief that Amanda played the most well-rounded game in China and Micronesia. I don't think anyone can ever replace her, but they can always adapt her style into something new, and it may work better, it may not work better, but I'm sure it'll give us a new appreciation for the Amanda Kimmel. <3 |
