I know Allyson was the first to announce being knocked up, but how far behind is Cobie? She was looking kind of sallow tonight -- a long way off from the cutoffs shot.
Fun enough ep, but nothing to write home aboot.

Brilliant way to show off the belly.

I think Robin got the anchor job so that Cobie could do a lot of scene behind the anchor desk.
Writers found a great way to let Allison show off her baby bump. Wonder if they'll find a way for Cobie to do the same at some point? |

I liked the episode, but the writers totally stole a joke from the old Daily Show. Craig Kilborn (the original Daily Show host) used to refer to himself as
Vanilla Thunder all the time. He said that was one of his two nicknames when he played college basketball (that and Apple Turnovers). Either the HIMYM
writers swiped that nickname for Marshall, or it was a Kilborn homage.

Last week was preempted by Obama, fine, but a god damn rerun this week?
Edit: And TV Guide says next week's also a rerun. No new episodes until March? What the fuck, CBS? |

Odd that they would clip that as that was exactly the rerun tonight.
As long as this series ever runs I will never ever ever grow tired of Robin fueled by a 12 pack of Molson and becoming all Super-Canadian. And the following Summer Teeth girlfight. |

At last a new ep!
But alas -- too contrived. When a sitcom starts adding characters, it's not a good sign. Still HIMYM's added Ted's sister and maybe one or two others with no permanent damage. I'm worried that we haven't had a true classic in a long time. Maybe the writers are being thrown off by having to write around baby bumps? The thread tweak is a no-brainer, right? "child stars were better in the 80's" |

As someone who pretty much loves every Barney-centric episode, it was alright. I enjoyed the ridiculousness of the plot, and the side plots were OK. Not the
best, but still enjoyable.

I agree. It was aright. The child stars of the 80s was the best line of the night by far.

WTF was that?
Unrecognizable as HIMYM. Did they replace the producers and writers when I wasn't looking? |

Yeah, it was ok but just was way too wacky to go into with no buildup or hints in the past...I did love Barney's mom admitting she couldn't stand the
"wife" and "son" followed by "And those fake friends of yours? I wanted to shoot myself!"
