Okay, let's get this thing started already. Here is my one disclaimer. READ IT: I know we all have different opinions about Survivor, and while something like this is pretty difficult to rank, I hope that most of you enjoy reading it and agree with some of it. Regardless though, I welcome disagreement because it would be boring if everyone agreed with everyone about everything. So feel free to voice what you think, what you like, and what you dislike. HOWEVER, I ask that you do it in a respectful way. Yes I know this is sucks, but you all know what I mean. If you flame me or act obnoxiously, then expect nothing but the same from my end. Sound good?

50. Crystal, Kenny, and Susie blindside Marcus.

Yes, what an entertaining moment this was for everyone on here when it happened (except Ace, but I felt bad for him). After the tribe swap, we saw that Marcus and Crystal had some sort of connection outside of the game. Crystal's cousin was actually Marcus' best friend. The way the two Survivors saw this, though, is what made this moment. Marcus believed he could use this connection to his advantage in the game by offering Crystal, a member of the Fang minority, a position in the Kota alliance. However, Crystal did not settle for a crappy position like we've seen so many others do (especially women, Jan and Denise come to mind). She immediately recruited her closest ally, Kenny, and the two began to convince Susie that she was playing for sixth or seventh place. What's great about this is that Susie also refused to settle and took advantage of this opportunity and blindsided Marcus' ass into Ponderossa. In this move, we saw Crystal taking advantage of Marcus' delusion and she and Kenny swiniging a member of the majority against one of the most powerful people in the game.

Reasons not higher: While I don't mean to discredit Kenny and Crystal, the reasons Susie flipped were largely due to Marcus' arrogance and ignorance. The Kotas alienated Susie at the last TC with the split vote, and Marcus essentially told her that she couldn't get better than fourth place.

Yeah, me too. Good for her for recognizing what she needed to do and doing it. More will be up soon.

49. Jenn blabs to Tom about Ian wanting to vote him out

While Palau is considered a rather poor season (at least here), most of us seem to really love the finale, and this is the reason why. Jenn's fate seems to be set in stone, and Tom, Ian, and Katie are all telling her that she's going to go home and celebrating their collective achievement of making it to the F4. Everyone seems to be happy, and no one seems to be doing any kind of scheming or scrambling...until we see a conversation between Jenn and Tom. Very casually, Jenn referrences a conversation between her, Katie, and Ian about how they would all vote off Tom if he didn't win immunity. Tom is shocked. He has no idea what to think, and Jenn essentially uses reverse psychology to make it appear as if she's indifferent, when really she had Tom not only confront Ian, but also vote him out over her. Yeah, Jenn did end up going that night, but she did make a difference because it was a tie vote and the Tom/Katie/Ian alliance essentially imploded.

Reasons Not Higher: It was kind of obvious that she had to blab about this, and it wasn't exactly impossible to pull off. It wasn't as if it was some complex blindside, and believe me, there will be a bunch of those later.














































48. Jenny and Rebecca orchestrate J.P.'s blindside.

It seemed obvious to the Raro tribe that Stephannie, who was exhausted and all but asked to be voted out, would be leaving after NuAitu won its first immunity challenge. However, with J.P. on the loose as a cocky douchebag, Jenny and Rebecca came up with the idea of blindsiding this pain in the ass. They used the "women strong" argument to get Cristina and Parvati in on it, although Brad and Adam ended up voting him out as well. Now I must make one thing clear. This move was COMPLETELY retarded fore everyone other than Jenny, Rebecca, and Stephannie. Those three girls were the next on the chopping block, and they took action to save themselves. But for everyone else, they were booting a huge challenge asset and leaving someone who wanted to go home to her mashed potatos in the game. So props to those who it was good for, and lol at everyone else's stupidity.

Reasons Not Higher: J.P. was still a huge challenge asset for the girls, and if they keep him over Stephannie, then Raro may not have gone on its losing streak in the first place. So while this move worked in the short term, it carried long term consequences, as just one more Raro win would have given them control in the post merge.
























































47. Julie lies to Twila about what the guys have promised her.

I've always thought that Vanuatu had one of the most strategic casts, and this is when Julie proved herself. To sum up the events of the previous week or so, Julie and Twila were the only girls on Lopevi, and Twila had already worked her way into a final four alliance with the guys. Julie, though, was not as lucky. The best option for her seemed to be to flip back with the women at the merge, assuming she could survive until then. So when the girls are talking about what's happened so far, Twila admits to Julie that she has a deal with the guys, and a pained looking Julie admits the same thing. The two then laugh as they realize the guys are playing them...until we see a Julie confessional where she says she pulled it all out of her ass. Brilliance, this was! It's effect can be described in the quote above. Julie used this to get Twila to swing back to the women at the merge, and even though Twila would get her back (which will certainly make an apperance towards the latter part of this list), it bought her a lot more time in the game and set her up in a decent position.

Reasons not higher: I don't know. I just liked other stuff better.

Oh, and have a couple of hints for the next three.

I considered putting the Julie move higher, but in the end I decided against it mainly because I didn't think it would be terribly difficult to swing Twila. Julie's move aside, Twila's in an alliance for fourth place leaving Chad/Chris/Sarge to be the F3. We know that Twila will never settle for fourth place, and I'm inclined to think that she would want to side with Scout, and Scout wouldn't have flipped until a little later (which is exactly what happened). I don't mean to discredit Julie, though. What she did was smart, effective, but I also thought it was kind of common sense.

Quid, you're right, at least partially right. It was unclear when Jenn and Tom's conversation started, but Tom seemed to be leading it, but then Jenn just burst out with all of this information about how Ian was plotting against him and how he needed immunity that day. This is what led the Tom/Ian/Katie alliance to implode, and all of that worked for her.
