And I think that is what put her in the ball-gag treatment and thus eliminating her. It's seems like more than the activity, it's the conditions of begin confined, not sleeping, not eating, etc... It's how they handle everything. I think it's all fate. ETA: Florin was taken out by a spinning challenge not an eating challenge. |

It took out the littlest and the biggest, so you never know who it's going to take outMy point is you know it is going to always take out one of the extremes because these are the tasks where "your body quits for you" (and I agree with Jen's complaints about the first challenges being unfortunately athletic too, though that could have least been slightly overcome by not pairing the oldest and biggest contestants together). All the other examples you give are about personal endurance, which is why there are so many different types of winners, which is why I'm a big fan of them. I like seeing the contestants push themselves and survive because of their will-power, not their genetically determined size of their internal organs ETA: Florin was taken out by a spinning challenge not an eating challenge.That's why I specified a vomiting challenge - it's the only non-eating one that ended with someone being sick (I think?. |

I have to agree with SolitaryFreak. Pamela #1 in season one was the smallest and she lastest just as long as all of the other competitors in the eating
challenge, even longer than Mark #5. It has nothing to do with size. It's mind over matter. Val has to test ALL your limits. :-)
And anyone thinking about trying for a future season should know that there has always been an eating challenge every season. So if you have trouble eating, either practice, hope you win the test that gets you out of it, or skip it. :-) Half the fun is the fear of never knowing what's coming next, and what the test could win you freedom from, and wondering if it's something you'll be able to handle. None of the mid-weight contestants have ever had any problem with them. I agree it is still a test of "mind over matter", but I much prefer it when you're fighting not to press the same red button, not trying to hold down puke. I'm really hoping for another mental treatment like the Season 2 blocks or Season 1 alarm-codes; so far all the brainwork has been limited to the tests (except the strategy of wear to put the clips). |

Pamela didn't spin. She tilted her body so she'd be running to the side and thus wouldn't get dizzy. Girl was smart.
