Mike/Elizabeth/Rodger was an alliance.
Alicia/Jeff was an alliance.
Nick seemed to be a swing vote.
Would Jeff have gone?

Or what if Ogakor lost that Immunity challenge instead?
I would say it would have been Jerri or Keith then. |

The real question is, if Jess V left in 11th and Mike didn't get hurt, who would have got votes and could Tina still have figured out who to target at the
merge?
I'd say either Rodger or Elisabeth gets vote. So would Tina want to target the nice Christian people? |

If Ogakor loses, Amber goes. I believe that's been confirmed either in the commentary on the Australia DVD set or in interviews. But I believed they
planned to keep Jerri because she was better in challenges and also more disliked and they could throw her under the bus to Kucha at the merger.
And if Liz got votes craig, I doubt she'd have stepped off the F10 IC. She had huge endurance and she didn't really need to win the IC after Varner left them dry. |

RobVanStratus wrote:Yeah. I remember this from the DVD also. All seemed to agree that Amber was next to go if Ogakor lost. If Kucha had gone to tribal (not that I believe they would have) there is is no way of knowing who would go. Varner/Alicia say Mike would have gone because nobody liked him all that much. Most folks around here think Liz/Rodger/Mike would've stuck together and taken out Varner (why Varner? why not Alicia?) with Nick having no choice other than a tie. Truth is we can't know what would happen unless you get all 6 Kuchas together and get them to agree on what would've happened without lying to make themselves feel better after the fact. Not likely. My own feeling based on nothing but Kuchas dominance at that point in the game and the fact that I like them better than Ogakor is that if Mike had not fallen in the fire Kuchas would have won the next IC. Ogakor would've booted Amber. At the merge Kucha would've Pagonged all or at least most of Ogakor (Colby first if possible) and the winner would've been either Liz or Varner depending on how smart each of them was about getting rid of the other before the last Ogakor. If they kept Tine; Liz wins. If they kept Jerri; Varner wins. |

I believe the Kuchas have stated (Varner occasionally posted here, so maybe it was him) that Jeff was the main target, and although there were several reasons,
the most important strategically was that Jeff had a vote and Ogakor knew it (Kimmi blabbed it to Tina during the ep2 RC). Jeff would then have voted for
someone you wouldn't expect to have a vote, probably Liz or Mike. If Ogakor then guessed wrong at the merge, and Kucha still guessed Colby, I *think* it
would have gone to fire-starting or some other challenge.
In the long run getting rid of previous votes was a terrible decision. Gabon's the only season that has come anywhere close to the strategic intrigue of Outback and Africa. One slip of the tongue on Day 4 ended up dooming the Kucha tribe. Think how different Survivor history would be if every season could have turning points like that. |

I feel like Ogakor would have maybe targeted Rodger since he was assumed as old and weak. Rodger vs. Colby in questions like Lindsey and Carl had, and I think Rodger probably would have won. I think since Jeff would already be gone there would not be a Kucha power struggle and they'd take out Jerri and Amber. Alicia MIGHT have tried to make a move against Mike at the final 7 but Elisabeth would have the Christian coalition of her, Rodger, Mike and Tina hold together. Either way Keith goes at F7, then the Christians take out Alicia and Nick in favor of Tina, and then Tina and Mike go leaving Rodger & Elisabeth as final 2. |

I have always thought it was ridiculously stupid for Kucha to target COLBY, of all people, at the merge. Why would they think the strongest member of the other
team would have more votes against them than someone like Tina, who was likely to be viewed as a liability? It didn't make sense.

If Ogakor loses in episode 5, Amber goes. If Ogakor loses in episode 6, its probably Jerri since they couldn't stand her and they didn't need her for challenges anymore.I think it could have gone either way. Remember, Tina hated Amber as well as Jerri. Jerri had to be the first to go in the post-merge game, obviously, but pre-merge, it would have been a toss-up. I could see either one of them leaving. Why would they think the strongest member of the other team would have more votes against them than someone like Tina, who was likely to be viewed as a liability?Because Colby was doing everything he could to seem antisocial, and after Kucha witnessed the little Colby/Jerri tiff at the F11 RC, they assumed the dissension between the two of them must have led to one or the other having a vote cast against them at some point. The only thing we know for sure in this What If is that if Kucha had attended TC at F11, Jeff would have gone. It's hard to say who would have received votes (though I've always assumed it would have been Mike) and even harder to say whether Ogakor would have targeted the right person at F10 (though I've always assumed they would have aimed for Mike). If Kucha emerges with numbers, one of Mike/Elisabeth/Rodger/Tina probably wins, but the sole Survivor very much depends on end game challenge wins. |

Didn't Varner say his tribe thought the woman were running Ogakor based on both Kel and Mitchell getting eliminated so early. I think thats why they
thought Colby might also have a vote or 2.

Varner would have gone, even if he got Alicia and Nick to vote with him he would have lost in a tie, he probably would have voted for Mike, and he wouldn't
have jumped off that log in the immunity challange. Which would have meant the entire outcome of the season would have come down to a tiebreaker between Colby
and whoever Ogakor voted for (probably Rodger). This is why they changed the rules in Season 4 for ties. Wouldn't it have been great if someone flipped in
the Outback because of fear of a purple rock?

Do you forget the Reward challenge in one of the early episodes, Mike vs Colby holding poles with buckets of water hanging on them? Mike was never going to
quit that one, he only lost because the pole snapped and in the tiebreaker round Ogakor got more buckets on him.
And Mike is fucking NUTS. He'd have stood there all god damn day and night, especially if he had votes. He bleed Kucha blue and would have stuck it out for Kucha to win. |
