I completely agree about Colby. Everything Tina did, Colby did too. He was always in the majority and Tina got brought to the end because of him. I'm not
the biggest Colby fan, but I think he played the better game in Australia, but it's his own fault for losing, so I'm not saying that the wrong person
won.

She was invisible in Micronesia until the Final 6, and she only had a big role in Alexis', Erik's and Cirie's boots. She pretty much clung to
Ozzy and Parvati throughout Micronesia and her presence was nowhere near as significant as it was in China. I don't get why everyone said that she was
"the most strategic" in the Final 5 when she was up against Cirie (and Parvati, but she wasn't as much of an open strategist as Cirie was).

Sorry I haven't been able to update in a while. I'm on vacation now, and I don't have as much internet time as I would like.
As for why I put Yul booting Jonathan for Adam's jury vote...I wasn't crediting Adam for using his jury vote as a weapon, rather Yul using Jonathan as a bargaining chip. At that point in the game, Jonathan had zero use to anyone because the Aitu 4 had the majority, the Raros hated him, and no one was going to budge, anyways. So I credit Yul for actually doing something about the fact that Jonathan was a disposable vote, and what he did won him the game. Anyways, here are the next two:
32. Aras leads the Casaya tribe and stays alive by convincing them he is a threat. Quote: "I didn't come here to make friends with 24-year-olds. They haven't made it easy for me. The target's been on my back. I've been the underdog the whole time." -Terry Deitz I'm sure many people will disagree with this, and that's fine, but at least hear me out. I think most of us will agree that Aras was the unofficial leader of the Casaya Clusterfuck. As the leader, Aras helped focus the entire tribe (though this would have happened naturally) against Terry. Of course, Terry, being the immunity whore that he was, needed to be stopped in order for a Casaya to win the game. Actually, one of the most important moves in stopping Terry will be addressed much later on this list (I'm sure you can all guess what it is). And although this wasn't exactly a specific "move" or "decision," Aras convincing the tribe that he was the only one who could stop Terry ensured his survival as Terry continued to win immunity. This meant that the only way Aras would get votes was if a Casaya member joined up with Terry, which happened only once. Aras focused the group on beating Terry and set himself up as the only one who could do so, and I give him a lot of credit for that. Reasons not higher: As with most of these entries, I just liked others more.
31. Boston Rob sets up a fight between Rupert and Tom. Quote: "Did you or did you not tell me we needed to get Rob off?" -Rupert Boneham I'll say it flat out here, this is the only thing from ASS that will appear on this list. I could have included other moves, but most of them seemed to involve previous friendships/connections, thus spoiling the degree of "smartness" of them. But this one was brilliant. Even on the ASS commentery towards the end of Shii Ann's boot episode, the first four jurors start talking about how smart this was. At the F5 of ASS, the survivors were in one of those difficult situations where there were two obvious pairs and one swing vote, much like Marquesas/Vanuatu's F5s. Romber seemed to be in control since they had an alliance with Rupert and Jenna and with Big Tom, but when the latter group and Big Tom started scheming, Rob created a bogus story about how Tom and Rupert talked about booting him. This resulted in Tom and Rupert arguing about who wanted to defend Rob more. Pretty ironic, I think. Reasons not higher: Same as above. |

So underrated. The Rupert/Tom fight was a good move, but it came one season after the Darrah vs. Lil fight that Fairplay set up to save himself, so I'm guessing that'll show up too.. |

31 definately was a good defensive move from Rob, but at the same time he and Amber made an extremely moronic move by voting out Tom instead of Rupert. If
anyone but Amber wins immunity at F4, Romber is in big trouble because Jenna won't vote out Rob (he's the only one she could beat), would force a tie
if immune, and would be forced to vote for one of Romber if Rupert won immunity. After all the hard work Rob did throughout the game to get that majority, he
nearly threw it away to a tiebreaker by voting out Tom before Rupert. And no, I don't buy this "we were pissing off one person rather than two"
crap, because the fact remains that in a Rob & Amber F2, they have to vote for one of you.

Quiddity wrote:I don't see why it would have been bad for Romber at the F4 if Rob won immunity. I still think Jenna would have voted out Rupert because she knew she had no shot of beating him, and he was a huge immunity threat. Don't forget that he came in second in the one endurance challenge of the season. The fact is that Jenna wanted to win and didn't want to force a PROD (and all of the survivors were under the false impression that it was the tiebreaker). Voting off Tom over Rupert or Jenna was MUCH worse for Amber than for Rob because it results in a net loss of a jury vote for her. I think it's safe to say that whichever alliance Romber stuck with would have voted for Rob over Amber on the jury, so I don't fault Rob for this as much as Amber. All of this said, though, I'm only creding Rob for starting the fight between Rupert and Tom, not for voting off Tom over Jenna. |

Getting rid of Big Tom at the final five was a big mistake because it left a pair (rupert/Jenna) together who would prefer to stick together if it benefited
them.Obviously if we look at the result of his move people may not accurately judge it however he was on the verge of Romber dying. By voting out Big Tom at
Final Five he made him and amber both very vulnerable because had Rupert or Jenna won Immunity and not Amber or Rob then chances are they would have gone to a
tie-breaker, and if not worse a Purple Rock because had Rupert won Immunity Jenna would be only one vulnerable and Rupert would have no reason to vote Jenna
out b/c he's immune and is not afraid of the Purple Rock (same thing if Jenna wins immunity she wouldn't vote for Rupert). Because of that Romber
wouuld have a 67% chance of being dismantled. However had they gotten rid of Rupert at Final five they would only have to worry about Jenna winning immunity
which would be a very low chance of winning, also it would give him option of getting rid of Big Tom at final 4 had he truly wanted to get f2 w/ Amber and not
try to win the game as long as he won or Amber won Immunity, had Big Tom won immunity then it would be no big deal for him and he would just vote out Jenna and
go f2 with whoever won Final Immunity Challenge.

Lol @ Aras winning because Terry kept winning immunity. That's irony for you.
Aras <333 Though the Aras' I know always end up being third. =/ |

Aras was kind of naive. I don't really think he was all that great of a player, since him staying relied on someone else winning every IC possible. He
basically lucked out by the fact that he was up against a pretty unathletic group of people. I think being aligned with Cirie also benefited him a lot.
Boston Rob <3333 The h8 has clouded a lot of people's judgment. He dominated All-Stars and the Rupert vs Tom fight really was one of his best moves, if not his single best. |

aras shouldnt be on this list ever
The aras entry was proof why he sucks. he did NOT convince casaya to keep him around, they actually didnt bother to split the votes with the knowledge that aras would go if the idol was played. they talked about it at like 3 tribals. |

survivorisdabest wrote:Seeing as Terry won every immunity until the F4 and was not going to give up the idol, how exactly would a split vote have done anything? Terry had "double-immunity" and all a split vote does is cause completely avoidable tension within the Casaya alliance. And sorry I can't come up with a better reason, PT. Consider things that appear higher on the list more impressive in my mind. A bunch of these entries don't have obvious reasons why they should be lower or higher, so I just have to go with what's the most impressive. |

Well no, the point is that they DIDNT KNOW whether he would give up the idol and they didn't care if he did because they knew aras would go

It's still irrelevant because Terry had individual immunity until the F4, but I think it's pretty safe to say Terry wasn't going to give the idol
(or necklace) up. He might have been a shitty player, but he wasn't that stupid. The only time it would have worked to his benefit to give up the idol
would be at the F4 after Danielle got two votes. As shown by Sugar doing this to Matty, he was allowed to just stand up and present the idol to Danielle right
there.
Also, the only Casayas who knew for sure about the idol were Danielle and Bruce, neither of whom used it against Aras. No one from Aras' alliance wanted Terry to give the idol up because it could mean that they would lose one of their allies and therefore, the numbers. The best way to deal with the idol, ideally, would have been to do a split vote at the F8, assuming Terry or Sally didn't win immunity. |

JackSparrowBauer |

I still think that Aras had the most luck out of any winner, because every situation fell into place perfectly for him. Terry winning every single immunity was
good for Aras because of #32, and once Sally left, if Terry didn't have immunity then he would have to face the situation of either turning on his allies
when Terry was still around (which would've made them mad), or he would have to face the situation of splitting votes between Terry and someone like Shane
or Courtney, which would've been very risky and potentially could have cost him jury votes. When Terry had immunity every single immunity, his back was
against the wall and he didn't have many choices, plus he had Cirie on his side, so it wasn't all that hard for him to get to the Final 4.
Then at the Final 4 is when he got really lucky, because if Terry didn't have his ridiculously unfair idol, then Aras probably would've lost. Because then Terry would've gotten out at the Final 4, Danielle would've won the last IC, and she most likely would've taken Cirie. Now if Cirie won the fire-making tiebreaker, then Aras would've won the last IC, taken Cirie, and she would've beaten him. Pretty much everything post-merge fell into place perfectly for Aras, and given the cards he was dealt, his win was probably the easiest win ever. |

Regardless of how "easy" Aras' win was, and I agree, he did have a lot of good luck, he did the best he could with the cards he was dealt, and
plenty of people on Survivor are unable to take full advantage of the cards they are dealt. I wouldn't say Aras' win was the "easiest,"
though, because he actually had a lot going against him. Yul gets my vote for "easiest" win, and I'm sure you understand why, even if you
don't agree with me.

Aras did manage to capitalize on all the gifts he was given in the game, unlike some other people (like Lex), so he does deserve props for that, but his win
was still pretty easy.
Yul had the game won once Jonathan flipped back with the Aitu 4, but I think he would've done well even if he didn't have the unfair idol. I wish the producers never came up with the idea of of the Exile/Cook Islands HII, because those seasons could've been a lot better. |
