Since I have some time to kill today, I'll bite. You have repeatedly brought up, in a completely nonlinear or non sequitur fashion, that Carla is black. Though we can't escape the obsession with race in this country, I don't see how or when Carla's race became an issue. As for the bullshit about her getting work because of white guilt? Secondly, many black chefs struggle to break out of the stereotype put upon them that all they cook is "soul food." The way I see it, there's a clear difference from cooking from the soul, and cooking soul food. A number of talented black chefs seemed to get, unfortunately, pigeoned-holed into cooking soul food, when they have been classically trained (read French) and desire to cook so-called high-end food. Meanwhile, many of these chefs feel the pressure to tread lightly, and not to so easily dismiss soul food as "common" or beneath them, for fear of being pegged as a holier-than-thou type. It's a vicious catch-22.

If you don't like Carla, fine. But to constantly resort to base-level comments and race baiting is beyond ridiculous. It's insulting. This is a board about reality TV shows. I'm sure you can find plenty of boards that would be receptive for your banal musings.
