Clue 1, though, is strange. I can't really think of anybody I've seen thus far that has alienated themselves by being aligned with an outsider-- unless it refers to Erinn's "loyalty" to Candice, but I don't really think that's a huge issue. I still see Sierra as being the next to go if Timbira went to TC. I'm going to throw my lot in with the Debbie/Coach crew.

Posts: 3136 (02/20/09 8:52 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Here is my take on what is being foreshadowed by editing: The exchange between Debbie and Erinn at Tribal Council over trust issues came out of the blue. There is a good chance that Timbira goes to TC in the next episode with Debbie (because she is weak and trusting) and Erinn (because she admitted that she doesn't trust anyone) as the potential targets. I think that a tribal switch is coming soon - probably episode 4. We have been shown some 2 person alliances (Stephen/JT, Brendan/Coach, Brendan/Sierra) that should survive the switch (if one happens). We haven't directly been shown any major alliances (eg. Spencer/Sydney/Joe) on either tribe but we were shown the start of a cross-tribe alliance (Brendan/Taj) on Exile Island. So far, we haven't seen any opposing factions (eg. elders vs. mall rats) on either tribe. Jalapao is one big termite eating family. At Timbira everything revolves around Coach even though strategically Brendan is running the show. My prediction: Episode 3 - Timbira goes to Tribal Council Episode 4: Tribal switch occurs. Taj joins Brendan on Timbira along with 2 other members of Jalapao (probably Joe and Sydney). The new Timbira has 6 members - 3 from each of the tribes. Stephen, JT and maybe Sandy remain at Jalapao and I will guess that Jerry and Tyson are switched to Jalapao. In the future: Joe or Sydney is blindsided when Taj votes with the original Timbira members. The original Jalapao are in control of their tribe and Jerry is voted out because he is viewed as the weakest of the original Timbira. Things that are revealed in Insider clips and post-exit interviews are informative but could prove to be misleading if the info turns out not to be relevant to the outcome. So, I have started to take information from outside sources that is not shown in the episodes with a lot less weight than the story arcs that are developed in the actual episodes. After Erinn's exchange with Debbie at the last TC, Erinn's probably feeling like she's in a shitty position. Or, it could be talking about Taj, who already thinks she's in serious trouble in Jalapao. With Clue #2, I'm thinking that, whether it's this episode or next, Taj is going to be the first mutiny. I don't see how a four-person alliance can be devestatingly powerful if the four people aren't even on the same tribe. As for who said the quote, it's probably Taj. It could be Sandy if Jalapao goes to TC.

Posts: 3202 (02/20/09 10:09 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I've been thinking about this, and if Brendan and Taj do go to Exile again next week, I think they have but no choice to have one of them mutiny because they have obviously put targets on their back just by others being suspicious about those two conspiring all the time. If this is the case, and the challenge is again combined (I have a feeling it will be), then I can't see Timbira winning and picking TAJ to go to exile...Coach just wouldn't approve of it. They would want to send one of their strong men-- and if Brendan had anything to say about it, he would, again, put a target on his back. So I would be more willing to believe that Jalapao wins this challenge, chooses the strong (Brendan) again, and in turn Brendan chooses Taj so they can get the other hii clue. Taj decides to mutiny when Brendan tells her she will be safe at their next tribal council with the foursome alliance they form (assuming the votes won't be a tie.) I guess that's my biggest problem with this four person alliance clue, even if one mutinies, there's no way a "devastating four person alliance" can pay off next episode because it can still cause a tie-- it doesnt represent a majority.

Posts: 1234 (02/20/09 10:12 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	If Timbira believes Brendan's lie that Taj got the clue, then it would make sense that Timbira sends Taj back to Exile Island, figuring it's better to guarantee that only one person could have the HII rather than sending a bunch of random people and having to guess which one got it? I guess the same could be said about Jalapao for sending Brendan. And then, would Taj and Brendan pick each other again? I think probably. It seems reasonable that Taj & Brendan are both headed back to Exile again next week.

Interesting speculation. I think they'll switch tribes on an odd numbered episode this season though, so they'll have an even number of people. Generally when they switch on even numbered episodes the extra person goes to EI (i.e. Sugar). This season, two people go to EI...so it's unlikely they'll send one person to exile...and therefore they'll probably switch in episode 5, like they did in Micronesia. My prediction = Episode 5 for the tribe switch.

Erinn's insider videos seem to show a connection with both of them as she mentions that "Brendan is her winter blanket" and she mentions chatting with Sierra. She has a "meh" Coach insider vid, as well as Sierra having one... Brendan, Erinn, Sierra & Taj? Love the episode title, too.

I could wouldn't be shocked if that happens especially with Taj also having the hidden idol clues. I think it is more likely a secret alliance with Taj and someone else with her original tribe. The only problem is that Taj might not have enough votes to keep from being voted off on her current tribe.

I think she's refering to living with Coach and to an extent Brendan b/c she likes him but doesn't trust him. Sydney, Taj, Sandy - Have not been shown enough to associate "bad company". 2nd part is probably Taj and Brendan. Depending on which tribe losses I can see them jumping to the other tribe to avoid Tribal Counsil. It would make a great strategy move. If Brendan feels he's going to get voted out and jumps to the winning tribe after Exile than he avoids getting voted out. He's safe for 3 days and then Taj can push for the 4 person alliance which I think will be Taj-Brendan-Sydney-Joe/Spencer.
