Anyways, here are the next two...
lolpwnt. But here's a hint: they both involve the same person.
18. Jonny Fairplay and Burton team up and blindside Rupert.
Quote: "Where is that snake motherfucker, Jon? I tell you what, can't nobody trust that bitch right there. He will backstab you in a fucking heartbeat like he did everyone here."
-Sandra Diaz-Twine
This was the beginning of the craziness of the epic Pearl Islands post merge. It's as a result of a series of consecutive boots like these that so many people praise PI as one of, if not the, best season of Survivor. Shortly after Burton came back into the game, Jon reunited with him, which was pretty impressive seeing as Burton was with "the snake who voted me [Burton] out" (if you don't get what I'm talking about, watch the PI DVD commentary.) But yes, Jon began to lure him away from Sandra/Rupert/Christa and towards himself. They conspired some more, Burton sent Jon to sweet-talk Lill, and soon enough they had the numbers to put Rupert in his proper place...Ponderosa. They were now in complete control of the game with multiple alliances very loyal to them. Naturally, this would backfire 24 hours after the blindside, but their response has already been addressed on this list.
Reasons not higher: It wasn't that hard to figure out that something had to be done about Rupert's alliance.
17. Jonny Fairplay sets up a fight between Lill and Darrah, thus removing himself from the chopping block.
Quote: "Jon lies, but he tells the truth too."
-Darrah Johnson
No shit Darrah, and you fell for Jon's shtick again! This time, though, he was telling the truth. It's never a good thing for a guy in the game of Survivor to be stuck with three angry women. Fairplay knew this, and he simply redirected everyone's anger. By asking Darrah if she would take Lill to the F2, he caused Lill to break out in emotion, except targetted at Darrah. This caused Sandra and Lill to decide to vote out the biggest challenge threat and save Jon when they all hate his guts. Absolutely brilliant.
Reasons not higher: Darrah was a huge threat, anyways.
What's to come...
