how big are the chances that this isnt true? i just dont want it to be true.

this season will be painful to watch if that idiot stays around for to long
like, could it be some kind of fake thing?? (maybe its his cousin or something)

It wouldn't surprise me...he lucked out and got a really stupid tribe that probably takes way too long to realize he's annoying and scheming behind all of their backs...in any other season he'd be gone by now...

Coach is unquestionably and egomaniac but he does provide a great deal of entertainment. I would be sorry to see him go, just because of the priceless WTF reactions to his antics. It's pretty amusing.

If you only consider first impressions, who did you think would be the sole survivor? Did that change after nine days of play?
My first impression was that Coach would be the person to beat. When we first got there, he seemed strong and smart and he told all these stories about adventures he'd gone on and challenges he'd been through. After some of the challenges and seeing his work around camp, my opinion [changed] of him. He wasn't as tough as I thought he was and he started to irritate some people. Now my pick would be Tyson. He wasn't the strongest person on the tribe but he had the most endurance. And he got along with people.

Candace had a lot of choice things to say about Coach. Give us your take on him.
He never rubbed me the wrong way. We would sit down and have normal conversations but I think he was different towards the women. He was condescending to them. He wanted to get rid of Candace, Sierra and Erin quick. If he makes it to the merge, I don't think the other team will respond to his personality, but he is very deceptive. When he is around camp, a majority of the time he wasn't like that. He was usually very quiet until he was by himself or with only one of two other individuals. That's when he expressed his true colors. In a group, he is a different person.

Tyson makes merge? Coach makes ????

Been gone for a while but came back to say that I think that we need to focus on the last two seasons' opening introductions (including this seasons).

Seasons 16-18 had the following introductions to the players (in order of their appearance):

S16: Jonathan, JFP, Parvati, Yau-Man, Cirie, James & Ozzy

S17: Crystal, Bob, GC, Ace, Matty & Marcus

S18: Erinn, Tyson, Stephen, Sandy, Sierra, Coach

In both seasons 16 & 17 at least TWO people from the introductions did not make the merge/jury (S16: Jonathan, JFP, Yau-Man and S17: GC & Ace).

Going by this alone, we should expect that ONE other person from the season 18 introductions will not make it to the merge/jury and join Sandy.

I believe that the next few episodes will play out something like this:

EP6: Tyson (Brendan, Sierra & Erinn +HII take out Tyson, leaving a merge of 5 v. 5)

EP7: Merge, exile alliance (+ Erinn/HII) take out Joe (last non-juror), leaving Erinn, Sierra, Taj, Brendan & Stephen vs. Coach, Debbie, JT & Sydney.

EP8: Jury forms, JT booted, 1st juror

EP9: Sydney booted, 2nd juror

EP10: Power switch, Stephen, Erinn, Debbie & Coach take out Brendan/Taj (a threat to them), who becomes the 3rd juror

EP11: Taj/Brendan booted (same reasons), 4th juror

EP12: Coach booted/injured, 5th juror

EP13a: Debbie booted, 6th juror

EP13b: Final 3 of Erinn, Sierra & Stephen. Erinn/Sierra wins final immunity, Stephen becomes 7th and final juror. Final 2 of Sierra and Erinn.

If there is a final three this season, I think that they gave it to us in the first episodes introductions (Erinn, Stephen & Sierra). The other three people in the introductions are the people/obstacles that they had to overcome in the game.

I can't see Erinn working with Coach though. If anything the "exile alliance" will make it all the way or be early jurors. Once they reach the Final 8/7 there wouldn't be any real reason to betray one another.
