The info about coach being a mythomaniac should/must be spread. The fact that some people beleive his BS bothers me. >.>
It doesn't take a whole of research to debunk all of his (contradictory) claims about his adventures. |

LCC women soccer players criticize coach

As it turned out, their protest was moot because temporary, part-time hires such as Wade are considered at will employees and are not eligible for such leaves because they come and go at the need of the institution. The players said the trustees should not grant Wade a leave of absence because he lied to them. Deb Carey, an international student from London, England, said Wade had made "promises that were not true" to her and other international players regarding the tuition costs they would incur attending LCC. "Coach Wade promised our tuition would be $1,000 at the absolute highest," Carey told the trustees. "So far our parents have paid out over $7,000 each, and still need to pay another $3,500 each for this semester." Carey said she had e-mails from Wade to support her allegation. Wade said he asked for the leave of absence based on advice from administrators, faculty and friends at the college who suggested he might be in a better position to come back to LCC if a position became available in the future. "I was surprised to hear about this at the board meeting," Homer Cissell, LCC's president, said of the players' comments. "We are dealing with it and investigating further. We will identify and correct any wrong doing." The president declined to discuss any findings or actions taken so far. He said Wade has completed his commitment to the college for the spring semester. Cissell did acknowledge three women soccer players came to his office with similar concerns 2-1/2 years ago. "I told them I could not and would not support any guarantees made by their coach," Cissell said. "I told them work was available to any and all students, and we would give them a job. These girls were recruited before I arrived. We just talked. I told them I was sorry, but they owed the money to the college. They turned out to be fantastic workers. I made an assumption after they came in that this stuff had ended. The bottom line is we're just discovering what we thought had been stopped hadn't been stopped." The president said Wade should not have made any offers to international students that did not conform to the college catalog. The 'Coach' Ben Wade you see on Survivor is the manipulator and egotistical guy who has paraded himself around the collegiate soccer scene for years. Unfortunately, there are enough Athletic Director's desperate to have a winning team that they take a chance on him. He is talented at recruiting - often illegally though!! His resume reads pretty well, until you see how they all ended...... Simpson - fired for improper relationships with players Patton - fired and soccer program suspended indefinitelydue to illegal recruiting practices Lassen- fired for recruiting international students by offering them frivolous scholarships and housing promisesthat Lassen ended up paying to maintain the good standing of the school. SBU - fired......lying to school regarding extracurricular activities. Those are facts known by everyonewithin the soccer community. He has won a lot of games, but in college it's how you recruit a lot of the time, not necessarily how you coach the game. There is no doubting his charm, he talks a great game, andsure, he is good looking too. A good combination that sells his product to the gullable section of the population. Like any product, some buy it and some see right throughthe faulty product. If I sound judgement that's not my aim. The above is FACT. He is perfect for the show. Probst loves him. He adds to the show. Just don't buy intohis integrity speech - his record speaks for itself - he lacks integrity. That's not judgmental just plain FACT. I am sure he will get hired again if his acting career doesn't take off because a lot of Athletic Directors's want to win and he has proven that he can recruit and manipulate to do so. |

What a scumbag. Lying to young women he recruits, and only after they have traveled hundreds of miles and been oggled at in the locker room do they find out
that tuition is far higher than he told them. He has so little INTEGRITY that I'm surprised he doesn't spontaneously combust when he claims to possess
it.

Wow- the article in the times newspaper really gets into it- looks like "Coach" has been doing this for years- getting good, young, female soccer
players to go to his schools with promises of cheap tuition and once they get there they have to pay $6,000 and up more than what "Coach" said they
had to. So that's how he gets good players- he promises them things and lures them there. They said they had complaints going back 2 1/2 years.
Unfuckingbelievable! So between that, his fake adventures, and his other phony claims- he's going to be the most phony, not to mention hated, person ever
on that show. He really fucking disgusts me the more I learn of him. I am astonished that Jeff probst has swallowed his bullshit hook, line and sinker.
