Fokkerdr1 wrote: I said African Singing Bird, not Singing African Bird. The music sounded African, like they use across all seasons of Survivor despite the location. Damn it, I should have totally said South American Bird Singing African to avoid getting corrected. Regardless I guess you win, you're so amazing at pointing out where this season is taking place. I hope you trying to force a slight on a message board brightened your day. |

The bird pictured on 633 to 635 is a Wood Stork. Common to the area, but endangered. We have them in
SC and FL. http://www.nhptv.org/Natureworks/woodstork.htm Ummm. How about the African Singing Bird from 6:33-6:35?Actually I thought you were trying to point out that SEG grabs film from all over the planet and who the hell would know what kind of creatures are in a remote area. Thats what I would probably do. Its just a reality show. But I guess thats why its the BEST!

Fokkerdr1 wrote: Where the FUCK did you learn to throw a casting net? Hahah! Are you being serious or sarcastic? A casting net is usually thrown by one person. It takes a lot of practice, A LOT to get it right. In essence, You hold the long nylon part in your teeth, gather up the rest, spin/throw it out quickly to where it spreads out in a circle, let it sink with the weights, pull the long handle, it gathers at the bottom, trapping all the minnows, etc. You pull it up, untangle it, drop fish in bucket, etc. (you can't just stand around and hope a bunch of minnows swim up over your net while there are 8 people standing there holding it...the fish would be like "fuck you, landlubbers, haha") The element of surprise is what gets them. I can't believe they didn't know how to throw one....don't you take it upon yourself to learn how to do stuff like that before you get on Survivor? Sandy said she saw each and every one of the animals shown in the Intro. There were 4 production crew members bitten by venomous snakes during filming, as well. There were some jacked up animals to watch out for there. |
