I find the reaction to each season ending of the bachelor so amusing. When Brad didnt pick anyone, everyone got on here and attacked him as vigourously as they are doing to Jason. Yet quite frankly, Brad made the best decision for him and everyone else, by not pretending to propose to someone he had no interest in.

Jason is no different in my opinion. He did nothing wrong. It is better that he broke up with Melissa rather than maintain a relationship that he no longer wanted to be in. Just like Brad, he should not have to pretend to be with someone just to avoid viewers thinking he is a d*ck. Its HIS life, not yours. He is entitled to change his mind, realize he made the wrong decision. I have been in the situation of being in love with two people at once and it is hard. You can think one day that one is right for you and then something else another. I think he had to chose that day and he chose the person who showed him the most love and that was Melissa, and then after he realized it wasnt right. This was actually the first bachelor where it seemed that the person was truly torn between two people. I am sure he would have much preferred for it not to turn out this way, but it didnt. He made a mistake and had to fix it.

People need to stop judging so harshly. The comments that he is not fit to raise Ty? That is absolutely ridiculous!!! All he did was realize that it wasnt going to work with Melissa. Yes, its awful that he had to break up with her on TV, but I am sure that was not his preference and that he had no choice to per his contract. You can say he could have stood up to ABC, but not without some serious legal penalties.

And I do not believe it was fake, that this was all planned from the start. No one would subject themselves to the judgment of the diehard bachelor fans and to the inevitable personal attacks that he will face over the next few weeks willingly. It make no logical sense whatsoever.
