The not lovin' Anoop thread - Time for him to "Beat It"

Since then, he's proven to be a terrible song picker. For a supposedly smart guy, he doesn't seem to have spent much time analyzing his own hype, tracing it back to that audition, and using it as a template for song choices. He doesn't seem to think about his audience. Unfortunately, he does come off as smug, which isn't helping. He was my favorite, and he's losing me. He seems to have an obsession with 'fun' and 'energy', when that's not what what we want from him.....we want to hear the voice.

That's like when they told that one chick to stop being cutesy and then the next week, they said you act too old when she picked a challenging song. People like Adam and even Megan are doing their thing. Fuck the judges.

I agree about the song choice-- he's choosing songs that make him look like he's not a serious musician when he could be blowing us away with the right songs. As for the smug thing, I'm sad that people are getting that impression. Anoop and I share a couple of friends and they only have good things to say about him. Next week for him is crucial... given the theme, I have no idea how it will turn out. If he takes a song and switches it up a bit, it could be awesome.
