She was on every fucking show imaginable plus the Live Earth Concert, A Bunch of football series pre-game and halftime shows plus she had huge posters and her music playing in the record stores. She didn't get much radio after a few weeks when the program directors realized the song was not going to bring in the checks from her label. She was on AI twice and she had all of the magazines giving her covers and full page spreads. Even Blender and Ann Powers ate her out as usual.

She was on shows to promote Never Again but when the album came out she appeared on I believe GMA that day and not much else. The shows she did pre-album release really didn't do much good since the album release date was changed after several of those appearances. and what sports programs did she appear on exactly?

you seem to be better at tracking and remembering Kelly's appearances than I cam because I don't recall her appearing on anything except the NFL kick off and that was way after the album had already pretty much died on the charts.

She did get the live earth gig but I don't think that helped much by way of sales.....

anyway, the point is that you're equating the treatment received by an artist who brought in 100 million dollars for RCA with an artist who has had one album that sold just under 3 million copies and then three other albums that have barely broke 2 million combined. One artist generates revenue for the label the other generate bad press for acting like an asshole (fight on airplane, fight on Regis & Kelly, etc) and who until recently was more talked about for possibly being gay than for being a singer. Do the math Robbin...if you were the label who would you invest your time and money in? You'd probably pick Clay which is why you'd be out of business in no time at all.

They are having former Idols come back every week and since they are doing Opry it only makes since that Carrie come back this week. Teaming up with Randy Travis is icing on the cake because he is in the Opry, too, and it was his single.

She isn't recording that single to add him to it you dumbass bitch and the last time I checked her single was climbing up the charts.
