A girl friend of mine saw him and concert and said it was one of the best shows she ever went to. Even her boyfriend liked it. I didn't watch season 7
and didn't even know he was from American Idol until she told me.

I read that last night on VFTW along with watching a rather repulsive video some loon made.

Are you talking about the "suck it" video? I watched that shit and was highly disturbed.

I read these bitches had the nerve to put a Lojack tracker on his bus. WTF. Surely that's all kinds of illegal?
They're going to end up ruining all of the accessibility that he has with his fans if they keep this shit up. Twats. |

suckshardcore wrote:What is that video about exactly? I'm afraid to ask but I'm doing it anyway. I still like "Light On" so much and can't believe it wasn't a bigger hit. It did get more play as time went on though and I still hear it occasionally. Considering he's had so so airplay, his CD has sold pretty well. Cookie <3 |

Avalance and A Daily Anthem, imo, were the best picks for singles. Maybe even Declaration, but I'm not a huge fan of that one.
Come Back To Me = meh. I like it alone in my car, or alone in my room, or just alone in general, but I just don't see it doing that great on radio. ADAM on the other hand would kick ass - like Daughtry's singles have. Bar-ba-sol to rock stations? OK. We'll see how this goes. It might go well, it might not, but good on them for testing the waters while releasing another single elsewhere. |

Overwhelmingly, most of his loyal fans...agree with him on this assessment, and normally let David and the guys have their own personal space. Basically, these is to be focused on the few rotten apples (that absolutely condone these actions) in the overall friendly and suppotive DC fanhood that has developed for the past year or so. Something to consider. |

I was one who completely supported the college tour idea and hoped that it brought him new non-AI fans, especially men. I say that as someone who is not a
teen or 20-something. Thinking back to concerts in my college days, I had hoped that the college venues would be closed to anyone who did not, you know, attend
the college. Fans who are of a certain age, carting fantardy signs and worse and following him to every concert have to be disappointing to him, even as
gracious as he is. I'm okay if I never see him in concert again (I saw the AI tour,) as long as he does well and becomes successful.
I know I'll catch crap in here for saying all this. That's fine. I am still a Cooktard, but I am one because I think he deserves success, not because I need to get something out of it, other than the music. It's too bad that some idiot, delusional stalker fans will ruin it for others, but if I were him I'd stop the meet and greets. I wonder if he is contractually obligated to do them until his AI reign is over. Do other artists always do these before and after concerts? I don't even know. |

As much as I love David, his blog asking his fans not to go to his hotel and stalk him was very Diva/J.Lo.
That's why when celebrities cry foul over being stalked by paprazzi or fans coming to hotel rooms and appearing in their closets or being stalked by crazy fans, I just laugh. These days, people up and coming know exactly what it is all about. I love David and I hate Perez but he's got a point. |

None of us know the extremes to which these women go to so I don't blame David one bit for saying something. He'd be stupid not to, imo.

You're right, we don't know the extremes they go to. I do feel for celebs on a certain level, some of it is just insane. But the other side of me
says you know exactly what its all about, we all see it. It kinda irks me when they make it big then start bitching 24/7 about the Hollywood bubble like
Gwenyth Paltrow does and Chris Martin.
He has a point in his blog but I don't feel sorry for him at the end of the day, he knew the Idol bubble, he knew what it could be. Many artists would give up their child for the chance to have fans stalking them into hotels. It's not as fun when it happens IRL but no one sees it that way when they are not famous and are living paycheque to paycheque barely surviving as artists. No such thing as a free lunch in life, Idol is the same way. There is always a price to pay. |

I think David had a good idea of how crazy people get, but obviously that doesn't stop him as he continues to do personal meet and greets, etc... I think
he's just asking people to cool it and stop acting so psycho. Just because it happens to celebrities now and then doesn't make it right and it
doesn't mean that David doesn't have the right to speak up about it. Maybe more celebrities should take his lead and say the same thing. I know if I
was in his position, I would... then again, I'm not exactly someone who keeps their mouth shut, either

As much as I love David, his blog asking his fans not to go to his hotel and stalk him was very Diva/J.Lo.I love you but I disagree with you completely. Being stalked shouldn't be part of the territory, not for David, not for any of the other celebrities. Papparazzi are assholes but whatevers they're taking pictures of you when you're out in public but they aren't calling up to your hotel room. I don't think David would post something like it unless it was getting really bad and based on some of the things I've read these bitches are being highly inappropriate. I also think more celebrities should open up their traps and bitch if people are stalking them. Some celebs are definitely diva assholes but Cookie is not. |
