Actually they're coming to my house - I hope Jawme doesn't see the cameras and run over. (She lives two doors down from me) Anyway, good riddance to the sherbert dorks. Their concept was weird and they food poisoned themselves - not a good look. I hate the Blue Goose guy more than ever now too. I hope he chokes on a store-bought brownie. Plus gas station fish pie sounds like a travellers nightmare. blech

Although, there are a couple others of us in America watching this show. I, too, am really glad S&S flight attendants were booted. I feel sorry for the Blue Goose daughter, because her dad is a bit of a jerk. I think the guys who have The Gallery show the most promise ... well, the one who is the chef has a lot of promise, but his buddy running the front of house needs to shape up. New episode tonight. Can't wait!!

They don't really try to mask the winner on this show do they... art gallery guys seem to be the clear winners already, and they didn't even open the first week. Hopefully there's a decent stealth team lurking. Welsh wok, doomed. Blue goose, doomed. Minnie Driver's team, doomed. Carrot cake fucker-upper, doomed. Who else is there?

I had hopes for the Welsh Wok, but when the guy couldn't even cook rice well, I gave up on him. The couple with the kid-friendly restaurant seem to be doing well, but I can't see them winning with average home cooking & just making kids happy. The girls last season had a better concept for kid friendly. At this point, I want The Gallery guys to win, because I think they might actually make a good run with going into business with Raymond. I'd like to see a winner follow through with it, as I am disappointed the 9 in the Country couple gave up their opportunity.

Too bad there wasn't a single other breathing human being his dawtah could've competed with instead of him. ass The inbreds that hid the organ meat in the food are on my list now, too. Team minnie might be in there, but they need to close the wok stat.

I cannot believe mom & pop at Nel's made the most profit out of their little piggy. They must be in a great area for families with brats wanting a place to eat with so-so food, just so they will take kids. I feel so bad for daughter Goose. It looks like she actually has talent as a chef and her father is such an ass. Since he's her father, she can't tell him off. She's the only one I like, other than The Gallery chef, but her dad is the biggest twit I've seen. "Welcome to the disaster?" and there's no one else in his restaurant? What a jerk. He needs a visit from Gordon Ramsay. Inbred couple "hiding" the heart & lungs in their salad was pretty low. They went from being meh, to my disgust list, too. Poor Raymond. He is so polite and composed. I imagine him raging inside.

Here - you two go to a farmer's market where there's guaranteed food-shopping foot traffic, and ummm you go to a mall escalator and you go stand by a lake. What the fuck. They spoiled the next boot in the previews, too. By team Minnie Driver! I guess the gallery gaes pull it together unless it was just sneaky editing. I'm going to start calling people numpties now, too. I hope it's really insulting.

But with the restaurant industry going through tough times, it is going to be harder than ever for couples to prove they can succeed. Called to Bristol to meet Raymond, the couples are introduced to the world of the "high street" restaurant. They are given just one hour to cook a dish that sells their culinary skills as well as their vision for their restaurant. Some couples impress, but others crack under the pressure. And a shock announcement proves no one is safe... Premieres Tuesday, January 5th at 9/8c Barney & Badger Barney and Badger are former military men, with a combined total of 35 years in army service, and they see modern English cuisine as the order of the day. They want to create "a relaxed and informal dining experience", but they intend to operate both front and back of house with military precision. Signature dishes including pan-fried sea bass, slow-roasted pork belly, and lobster-stuffed chicken are on their menu. Chris & Nathan These best friends want to serve top-class Modern British cuisine in a mid-priced restaurant with a youthful, lively vibe. Chris is currently a chef at a weight-loss boot camp, and Nathan is a hairdresser. A typical dish from their restaurant would be lamb rump with 3-pepper ketchup and sweet potato chips. Also on their menu are a coconut and amaretto parfait and a strawberry strudel with white chocolate ice cream. Daisy & Nadine Although not Nigerian themselves, these best friends would like to open a rustic Nigerian restaurant called D'Soirée. With their motto, "greatness achieved through excellence", they want every customer to leave with a smile on their face. Daisy is a self-taught cook who currently works for the transportation system in London and Nadine is a midwife. On the menu would be classic Nigerian dishes such as okra soup, pounded yam, jollof rice, and fish with plantain. Janet & Sean Partners in life and in business, this couple is hoping to incorporate Swedish cuisine into their menu with an emphasis on seasonality and an aim to update their menu regularly. Together, they own a flower shop, and the couple's love and knowledge of all things floral will be a main feature within the interior décor - and the food. Edible flowers are something Janet would like to incorporate into savory and sweet dishes to give their restaurant extra panache. JJ & James Currently co-owners of a cocktail bar in London, JJ and James are hoping to expand into the culinary world with The Picnic Club - a picnic platter concept where diners would be invited to choose classic picnic snacks and grilled items, which are brought in hampers to their tables to create the "perfect picnic spread". Food will be classic style British food, but the presentation will be "Tapas and Thali" in style. Sarah & Joe This mother-and-son partnership is sure that their solid relationship will help them succeed with a French-English menu comprised of simple dishes. Sarah is a part-time cook with 12 years experience in the restaurant trade, and Joe has also been a head chef, a head waiter, and is now working at a successful garden center. Their menu includes warm reared beef with salsa verde, new potatoes, and raised field mushrooms roasted with spinach, peppers, garlic, and goat cheese. Frances & Lucy Longtime friends Frances and Lucy's concept is for rustic, farmhouse dining with "a touch of modern elegance" using only locally-sourced food. Currently studying biology, Frances spends her spare time working for a catering company and running a small catering business of her own. Meanwhile, Lucy has worked as a waitress during the holidays since she was 16. On their menu would be whole baked bream, herb-crusted rack of lamb and grilled rib eye steak, an extensive wine list, and a staff fully briefed on which wines best accompany which dishes. Natalie & Sandy This mother-and-daughter team dreams of serving English-Indian fusion food celebrating the '40s and the Days of the Raj. Their eatery will be called Missy BaBa, after Sandy's nickname. Natalie has 12 years experience in sales and marketing in luxury hotels - as well as being a qualified interior designer. Her mother, Sandy, is a bank manager. A daily special will be on offer, with signature dishes such as Missy BaBa's chicken feast and saffron rice, pan seared shrimps with fresh chili, and steamed mussels with cream and lemongrass. Rebecca & Stephen Married couple Rebecca and Stephen want to serve simple, tasty, traditional British fare that caters to the whole family in a smart, clean, and colorful restaurant. Stephen has worked for 12 years in the catering industry and is currently a catering manager and head chef at a private hospital. Rebecca is a former estate agent who loves selling and loves people. On the menu would be lamb cutlets, beef and ale pie, and sausage and mash.

I've heard the BBC received tons of complaints about it. This will probably be the last series of this show. Of course, everyone here loves a good train wreck : )

I guess it could have been due to the fact it was their first competition, in an unfamiliar kitchen, with a weirdly structured challenge, but who am I kidding - one chick boiled peas for twenty minutes, and someone else decided that pork wellington was a good idea in that amount of time. Also, they should have kept the can stabbers around and gotten rid of the guy with bad teeth. There's no way food tastes normal to him.
