Wow, I just saw the show. I already read this thread before seeing it so my expectations were high for Madam's performance.
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! What a waste of a standing ovation. Seriously, he saved it for 8 seasons for that?

I think they know that we don't give a f*ck and that's the reason for the need to make it look like they are almighty and nothing can ever happen
without their all important presence. If they disappeared and we didn't care, that would ruin the "man behind the curtain" Wizard of Oz effect.

Sure, and Ryan has to know what suit he's going to wear on results night and change into that to interact with the performer who is pre-taping. I think
Cook taped a week earlier instead of the night before, like Smokey. The number of hoops they have to jump through to keep up the pretense really is silly
