So Erinn trashes Coach with no reasoning in an episode, other than her interactions with him in past episodes, and she doesn't get a N because she's
trashing a N character, even though he wasn't N that episode. But Brendan trashes him in an episode where he comes off as negative and he gets a N because
Erinn gave Coach positive SPV? Makes no fucking sense. Either both should be getting N's for their episodes bashing Coach or they both don't get
N's for bashing Coach. You can't pick and choose when someone gets the N for bashing Coach.
And ILT, the basis of the Erinn fans argument is off the first 15 minutes. Other than that, you build off it with garbage like "Erinn is carefully crafted for us, she is the winner!" And you don't give any support as to why she's carefully crafted, because she isn't. She's this boring, UTR bitch that is going to get used and abused by Coach and/or Tyson. She might get to knock one of them out, but the other one will probably take her out. |

It does look like a consensus is forming around Stephen and JT (or JT and Stephen, take your pick). Does this remind anyone else of Yul and Oz? The
thoughtful strategist vs. the strong nice guy?
In the Y - O season it really could have gone either way though most here, myself included, opted for Yul. It's not a simple thing to select between them. JT had a huge episode (I'm not convinced of the concept of "too big" an episode when he was the locus of the huge strategic story in the merge episode) and a very interesting story arc overall - he was there in the beginning, then got off of people's radar screens for a while, and then began re-emerging before the merge. That's a very strong arc. Stephen, OTOH, has never been as hidden as JT, but he's also never been as huge. He's not quite a puppet master, but it's close. Everyone seems to respect him, and that's a very powerful attribute going into the end game: respect isn't a threat to others. It's a positive reason to keep him around because they conflate this with trustworthy. Stephen keeps his cards hidden - Brendan is unaware of the Stephen/JT alliance, and Stephen also controlled exactly when Taj told JT about the idol. There is also an introspective aspect to his confessionals that is also reminiscent of the intelligence displayed by Yul. Yul was always in control, but you never saw him as cocky. His use of the HII was so brilliant that IMO it forced SEG to change the rules of the game. I still remember him talking about the size of elephant's feet - and why that sort of thing was why he didn't get dates much. It was funny and endearing, and t's easy to imagine Stephen saying the same sort of thing. In some edgic ways, JT's edit is edgically stronger than Oz's, in that it's emerging at the right time. Yul and Stephen are remarkably close. Right now I can't think of a solid reason why either is preferable to the other, but I tend to admire the full package that Yul displayed a bit more than the equally worthy JT/Oz package, and am veering towards Stephen as my "official merge pick" - he's been #1 for weeks with me, but I haven't quite gotten JT out of my head yet. |

I've argued that her comments on trust at the second Tribal Council as well as her careful manipulation as an outsider and things of that nature. You are seriously so ridiculous. You blame others for basing their picks on their favorites, when you are doing the exact same thing. "I don't like Erinn, so she does not win," is your attitude, and it's fucking stupid when she has no reason to be eliminated. And no, your lack of liking for her is not a valid reason. You can bash her all you want, it won't change that she's still in the game and still is a viable candidate. Look up the definition of hypocrite, maybe in the future you'll be less of one. Schmuck. |

Joe MORP2 - we could've had a blindside in the merge TC, if Probst had only medevaced Joe last episode Debbie UTR1 - poor Debbie, good work in the IC though Sierra UTRN1 - I will use the "flf rule" and say that you can't be INV if you were N 
Erinn MORP2 - the happy-go-lucky Erinn is starting to emerge - her positive SPV saving Coach from an N, her joking with Joe on the way to
tree-mail, her kibbitzing with Tyson at the IC

OMG Forza is strenght in Spanish!!! In Portuguese it's ForÇa (this letter "ç" works like a "s")....
First impressions Brendan - MOR(N?)2 - a horrible episode to him, I think that if he was the winner he wouldn't be shown that stupid. Coach - OTTN4 - mixed with CP Debbie - UTR1 - will, one day, she receive a better rating? Erinn - MOR2 - or UTR, she was totally in the bacground, but at least she received an extra attention when the episode was completely focused in the men alliance plus Debbie targeting Brendan Joe - UTRP2 - I think he was positive JT - CPP5 - He got a great merge edit, but I still think he is a positive distraction, however, now he's my top 2 Sierra - UTR1 - Eliminated! Stephen - CP4 - My top contender! Taj - CP3 - She got a pretty decent edit considering she was never shown as a part of the new alliance. She explained her position in the game and why she was thinking about voting for her ally Brendan. I can see a P for her. Tyson - CPN4 - bad guy, he will be blindsided for sure Top Contenders 1. Stephen 2. JT Looking bad 3. Taj 4. Erinn Eliminated - all the rest |

JT - CPP5, a great merge episode, no we just need to wait and see if he is our winner or post merge distraction. Taj - MOR3 Sierra - UTRdone Stephen - CP4 - The best merge edit of everyone, soildifies his placement at the top of the winners list. Tyson - CPN4 Winners: 1. Stephen 2. JT (gap) 3. Erinn 4. It's strange how quickly J.T. went from an underdog to Coach's new warrior king....Brendan and Sierra from sitting good to being sitting ducks. Brendan and Sierra took nosedives with their smug glee over the unbeatable Exile Alliance. Only Stephen expressed caution and thought about keeping an alternative strategy. JT's problem: his close friendship with Stephen. JT has told us that he trusts Stephen completely. Stephen told us in Ep2 that he can use JT to go a long way. Two very different attitudes. Maybe the hero Boy Scout warrior wins this season. After all, a Boy Scout won last season. Me?, I don't think so. |

2) Good pre-merge story See, this is the problem that Erinn supporters want to ignore: Erinn did not have a good pre-merge story. She had a very immediate time-frame story about 1) Tyson's unexplained hatred of her 2) Her confusion about being there 3) Her open mocking of Coach and his hatred of her for it. She has no story except her outsider status and her conflict with/threat from Coach and Tyson, (who pretty much just throw threats at everyone on Timbira except Deb.) Erinn lacks any pre-merge long story, ie., some thoughts on the win. In this, she gets a possible out from the Bob/Danni category. But, that's a very slim lifeline to grasp. |

Good episode actually, very unique for sure. Reminded me a lot of 'Exile Island' (Janu's boot) for whatever reason. Despite being medevaced, Joe
had barely any airtime and there was no positivity really at all. It was really bland, the only positivity came from Taj when she said, "Tell Joe we love
him and we'll miss him."
FORCA. Brendan - MORN2 Coach - OTTM4 Debbie - UTRP1 Erinn - MOR2 Joe - UTR2 J.T. - CPP5 Taj - MORP3 Sierra - UTRN1 Stephen - CP4 Tyson - CPN4 Taj was definitely P, Tyson was definitely N (but this time I actually found him funny!), J.T. was P enough, Coach was definitely mixed, and Debbie was P for her general likability around camp as usual and for her performance in the I.C. Sierra was barely shown but when she was, it wasn't good, so her & Brendan both get N's. And Brendan shouldn't get a 3, even with all the SPV he received. Erinn finally drops to #2 on my winners list. Stephen just has a really good edit right now. Winners list... 1. Stephen 2. Erinn 3. J.T. 4. Sierra |

JT and Stephen had the two reactions to Taj's revelation of Eddie George as her hubby--something that I know will have to play out eventually, and from how disorganized Timbira has been so far, I feel Stephen/Taj/JT will make it to the F5, possibly to F4/3, and the dynamic of who deserves it will play out. Right now, the entire Forza story is being told from JT and Stephen's eyes. Maybe one could be blindsided eventually, but definitely not both.

Random musings from a 4 hour Good Friday drive.
I don't understand why Benjamin/Tyson thought F10 was the right spot to blindside Brendan. They could not have known that Joe's injury was bad enough to remove him from the game. They blindside Brendan (or Sierra). Now the 4 ex-Jalapao's go to Sierra and say "your ex-tribemates want you gone next - come with us and we'll guarantee you Top 5". So now the ex-Jalapao's have the numbers (5-4), renege on their deal (since the deal would have cast off Taj and Joe), and start Pagonging Timbira. The theory was OK - it was just too early to start (had they waited until F9, they would have less chance of being screwed over) - my prediction is that Tyson will be next episodes boot. You Shamrocks - you are starting with a desired result, and trying to find facts that fit this result (and ignoring the incovenient truths). No matter how badly you want Erinn to win, it didn't happen. We're down to one winner pick now - use it wisely. |

Approaching decisions based on fan appeal (love, hate, whatever) means people aren't playing Edgic, they're using Edgic as an audience for fan mongering. A certain amount of the silliness is okay, but it's really gotten tiresome lately. This is my official, polite, respectful request to dial it back.
