haha just to get it out there- my pick: Stephen

Coach and Tyson's edits were strongly individual - no application to Brendan, Sierra, or Erinn. Fang and Raro had a kind of collective negative edit at times (with only Matty spared and Parv shielded partily from it). Even Steph's tribe in S11 got a collective negative edit before its endgame downfall. "Wily dsitrustful Jew" - in context, in was contrasting Stephen with the "warrior king" alliance. Coach wants a fantasy alliance of Wagnerian Viking Warriors, yet he has recruited Woody Allen as one of its members lol. I see Stephen as fitting in more with the businessman and black lady, and that will be part of the undoing of Coach's plan. Sorry, but Stephen is as much a NY Jew stereotype as JT is a Southern stereotype. I'm rooting for him most of any Jollypal - you know I loved Eliza, Katie, and Corinne. |

Tyson was definitely classic OTT. Strategy doesn't mean CP. His confessionals had complexity to them, but got driven over the border to
OTT-ville with his extra words. Reminded me a lot of Randy's "King of Gabon" merger Ep.
I think Erinn was UTR, she wasn't apart of anything and only got that quick scene with Joe. I barely remember her and Sierra's negative SPVs should warrant a UTRN1, and seemed more memorable than Erinn. On the subject of JT and Stephen.... Tom and Ian, much? Tom/JT, the leader who premerge doesn't get much insight on his position but gets loads of SPV from others about how he has become the leader. Doesn't get much showing of any allainces he has other than his main one with Ian/Stephen. No doubt from him on his position premerge, more doubt from others saying he's probably a threat. Ian/Stephen, nerdy guy who is probably a bit paranoid. Alligns himself (strangely enough) to the machoman but also has his hands in a few others places, such as with Katie/Taj (not that Taj is N like Katie). However, Ian hasn't gotten the complexity that Stephen gets, but I'm beginning to think that Stephen looks a lot better than JT does to the casual viewer. I don't know... I have never had Stephen as my top pick for a reason... 1. JT 2. Stephen At this point. |

I've never heard of a "collective negative edit" for a tribe in edgic. I thought people had tone, not tribes. but then, I'm stuck here in
edgic.
And sorry, but "wily distrustful jew" is not an objective statement, unless you work for Al Jazeera. |

I felt kind of bad for Brendan, so I'm not sure if I'll go with N for him, but Sierra was only not INV because of
negative scenes/comments. She was at the top of my winner list the last 3 weeks and now she's gone bye-bye. Tyson was definitely OTTN4.

No, Wallduck! According to the Book of Craig, the merge episode is only half over! So we have til next week, right? That's right. just like LAST SEASON, the merge feast and merge boot were in different episodes. (Those are the 2 key events for editing purposes, more so than when JP says "you're merged"). Fact is, unless they wanted to make ep.7 the boring story of Joe's leg and departure (a guy who won't be on jury and has no friends left), and unless they wanted to give away next episode, ep.7 had to be an exercise in MISDIRECTION, with focus on only some characters and some pre-TC plotting. If ep.7 was edited that way and Brendan actually left, I'd draw different conclusions. Moreover, wasn't the Gabon merge feast episode one of Bob's WORST. The merge feast was dominated by Marcus, Randy, and Kenny, and Bob went AWOL for the pre-TC plotting of Marcus's boot. PS: Yul and Jonathan dominating the S13 was important, because they made a decision that determined the rest of the game. But Coach's Warrior Alliance could be the path not taken, there to occupy us in a non-TC episode.

OMG Forza is strenght in Spanish!!! In Portuguese it's ForÇa (this letter "ç" works like a "s")....Isn't it also Forward in Italian? The main right of centre party in that country was Forza Italia. |

I assume you're talking about the faux merge when you're referring to the "merge feast"?
On the subject of JT and Stephen.... Tom and Ian, much? Except I bet Stephen won't beg JT to take someone else to the finals and be his bff. |

Well, if I need to make a pick now, i'll go with Stephen, he was my number 1 pick after the first episode and i'm sticking with him.

A ray of hope for OO and his Shame-rocks: Not Edgic, but Joe is probably not on the jury. Probst would have said so if that were the case. This means a Final 2. Given the editing, this means a likely Stephen/JT final 2. Given the editing, this means 6 votes are accounted for: Taj/Brendan/Sierra for Stephen and Coach/Tyson/Debbie for JT. Therefore, Erinn wins by picking the winner! QED. Sceptic, thank you for the laughs you provide cumulatively in this thread. However, I think your comparison of Al Jazeera and Craig is a bit unfair. Al Jazeera has actually built a reputation based on journalistic moderation and objectivity. Unlike some of the more ecessive proponents of fandom. |

There's a very big difference between the merge feast & being told you have merged and having a faux-merge with a feast, but end up switching tribes or
telling them they live on one beach.
This episode we got the merge feast, told they merged, and even had the first individual IC. It's the merge episode. It culminated in a boot, although the boot was abnormal to other merges, it was still a merge episode. You can't say it was cut in half because they didn't boot someone officially. It would be different if they only had the feast and then moved to Timbira, and then Joe gets pulled from the merged camp and evacuated, and have no IC. You might have an argument if that occurred, but 100% of what happens in a merge occurred in the episode last night, so it's a merge. |

Just for fun. My opinion of everybody at this point.
Coach: So horse's ass OTTN it would be fun to see him win just for the outrageousness of it. But, I say he's out before Sierra or Erinn. Brendan: The merge ep continues his edit of "simple thinking". He talks game, but he lacks the looking- at- the- angles that are present in Stephen's confessionals. Deb: I like Deb. Erinn: Her story continues to have zero connection to the end-game. JT: The strong, able, hero warrior. He trusts his close friend Stephen completely and says so repeatedly. This ep he tells us that he "hates to lose". And he and Stephen are not Romber Part Deux. F2- Stephen and mm, Sierra maybe, but not the bros. Sierra: She pronounced herself and her alliance as the winners and then went into UTR1 mode. Pronounced too stupid to be there by Tyson, so she probably outlasts him along with Erinn. Stephen: Every story and comment he's been involved in has had a focus on the win. Taj: Stephen, "To the merge?? To the win!" Taj has made her merge, so she can go at any time. Tyson: Classic OTTN "Voice of Reason". He often speaks to truth, but he also crosses the line too far. Quick examples that come to mind: ASS RobM, Judd, Shane, Courtney.

I have to ask, because it was so prevalent in Todd and Parvati's confessionals: has anyone other than JT and Sierra spoke
about winning the game and the million dollars?

"A jug of wine, a loaf of bread, and thou", etc, etc, or however it goes ...
She looks more fun than mopey lovelorn Erinn or grumpy sourpuss Sierra. :)) Taj, too much the worry wart. Deb after outlasting all but Utah boy, "This is really starting to suck!" What's not to like? |
