Adam: Your America's Next Top Screecher!
Hide the dogs! BTW, this performance needed a whole lot more tongue lolling to make it authentic. LOL. |

Not one of Adam's better performances. It was drag queen nonsense.

Adam Lambert.
Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf. Says he'll give it an "electronic" thing. Quentin says he's "looking forward" to it, although the vidclip line was shrill. Adam sashays onto the stage, side to side, with a perfect dance step. The vocal, perfect at the start. He's got the look, too. Leather jacket for the 21st century. If they renew Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, he can play in a 2021 band or summat! It's a little overly dramatic even for this song (borderline goth, borderline manic), and yes I'm pained when he goes up *there* on those notes, but at least we won't be bored listening or watching Adam. Vocally innovative. Wild, indeed. An 8 at least. Maybe a 9. Poler: Whew! Take it all in my dear! You're shaking up this competition because you dare to dance in the path of greatness. Fortune rewards the brave. You're one of the bravest I've ever witnessed! Ever!\ Simon: Vocally incredible. But a little like watching the Rocky Horror musical in parts. One of the biggest rock songs of all time. A big part of the audience will love that, some will despise it. I don't think that performance will be as popular as last week. Audience: IEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Speaking of Queen, I wish this was the year when Brian May /Queen were mentoring. He could certainly be a better Freddy replacement than Paul Rodgers.

adam needs to quit the show and try out for jesus christ superstar. he performs more like a broadway show than a recording artist. paula has clearly hired a
writer to script her critiques. so.very.sad. straight up! paula! tells us straight up! not what some writer told you to say.

This was definitely my favorite over the top Adam performance.

I continue to be unimpressed with this Adam kid. He seems nice enough. He's definitely a showman. But as usual, I find the actual sound
quality of his voice to be at best, ordinary, and at worst, just plain hard on my ears.
