Hey, now, I was comparing popularity, not recent playoff success. It's kind of dumb to compare success since the Yankees are allowed to throw as much money
at anyone they want, yet still manage to blow it these past few years. The Cowboys play on the same financial level as anyone else, and still have 5 SB's
to their name <333.

My bad, I thought the cap started in 1990. Regardless, comparing the NFL today to the MLB today is pointless, when all you need is a big city market to be
successful in the MLB. Please, don't bother with the Tampa Bay Rays point, because a one year fluke doesn't equate to success.

There are plenty examples of cheap-ass MLB teams having success. The Padres and Diamondbacks have made it a couple times with low salaries, the Marlins got a
W.S., etc.
But you're mostly right. In terms of successes, MLB and NFL are totally different. BobbyBrown once tried to argue to me that the Redskins are the "Yankees of the NFL," |

With that and W leaving, we'l never hear from Frank Caliendo again.
Madden should have retired with Summerall. They were the best. |

MSNBC blamed Bush for Madden's retirement.

"wonder if the Redskins will ever fire Ceratto, or he'll have to be assassinated by some thug outside of FedEx Field (there are plenty of those in that area, so this could happen sooner than later) in order for him to finally get unceremoniously shit-canned?"*announcer voice* FedEx Field Thugs...When you absolutely, positively HAVE to get rid of the coach NOW! B. I am still psyched that the Steelers are keeping Harrison, although I was saddened that we left Leftwitch go. As my Dad said, Batch'll be the back-up until he gets hurt in the first pre-season game. Let's just hope Ben doesn't have any stupid accidents or injuries this year. C. I am sad about Madden retiring. No more 20-legged turkeys at Thanksgiving! D. I'd like it to be noted that I am checking in during the off-season and declaring my undying loyal fandom since birth so that when I come back in during the play-offs I don't hear any "Bandwagon" cries directed at me! E. That is all. |

Maybe I'll apply to replace Madden. I always say things before the announcers do in games and my husband always looks at me like I'm psychic and tells
me I should be an announcer.
And I'll even fly to games. No MaddenCruiser needed. |

i think i should replace michaels, and hawketti and Icould be the new power team of NFL announcing. Ratings would skyrocket.
