The comment that Ronburg and Mike made about Mike winning made me think, "Does he ACTUALLY have a chance?" When Nicole was back on the show, we were
told that Tara had the highest percentage of weight lost in total, so that put her in the lead for the grand prize. Is Mike in the lead right now? I decided to
do that math and find out.
Mike Starting Weight: 388 lbs. Current Weight: 235 lbs. Pounds Lost: 153 lbs. Percentage of Weight Lost: (153 / 388) x 100 = 39.43% Tara Starting Weight: 294 lbs. Current Weight: 177 lbs. Pounds Lost: 117 lbs. Percentage of Weight Lost: (117 / 294) x 100 = 39.80% Ron Starting Weight: 430 lbs. Current Weight: 298 lbs. Pounds Lost: 132 lbs. Percentage of Weight Lost: (132 / 430) x 100 = 30.70% Filipe Starting Weight: 364 lbs. Current Weight: 244 lbs. Pounds Lost: 120 lbs. Percentage of Weight Lost: (120 / 364) x 100 = 32.97% Helen Starting Weight: 257 lbs. Current Weight: 161 lbs. Pounds Lost: 96 lbs. Percentage of Weight Lost: (96 / 257) x 100 = 37.35 % So with those calculations, the current standings are as follows: 1st: Tara (39.80%) 2nd: Mike (39.43%) 3rd: Helen (37.35%) 4th: Felipe (32.97%) 5th: Ron (30.70%) |

I think Tara will do WAY better at home than Mike will do...but just doing the math:
I can totally see Tara getting down to 140, no reason she cant do that its only another 37 pounds. That would put her at 52.38% weight loss. For Mike to beat her he would have to get down to 184 pounds, which is another 51 pounds. He could easily do that as well, but I really think he is going to have a harder time at home than Tara is going to, and this is assuming Tara only gets to 140. |
