They don't know that Erinn hates Tyson and Coach.

Augustus, I'm not talking about about game reality. I'm talking about what the editing has told us. The editing has told us that both Erinn and Sierra have been at loggerheads with the dominant Tambiran alliance of Coach/Tyson/Debbie. However, the edited story has told us that only Sierra has access to the majority of Jalapao through by virtue of the Exile Alliance. Note that the bond between Erinn and JT shown last episode has nothing to do with the Exile Alliance. This is the edited reality thus far.

Now, as we wait for the next episode, we are all free to speculate on where the editing will take us from here. My interpretation is that the old Exile Alliance bonds will re-surface to save Sierra and to propel her to the end-game. I base that interpretation on the heavy investment the editing has made on the EA earlier in the series and I have learnt to take note when such strong investment is made in Burnett-land, as there is usually a pay-off. The most recent example is Kota last season when we were beaten over the head relentlessly (without much justification, game-wise) about how good Kota was and how incomptent Fang was. The pay-off, of course, came right at the end, despite the Kotan cause apparently looking as hopeless at the same stage of the game as the Exile Island cause appears now.

I'm not saying that Sierra will win. Her merge episode made that extremely problematical. What I am advising, however, is not to get too carried away by game reality. It's possible, for example, that Erinn's bond with JT may compete with Sierra's EA bonds with short-term or long-term survival at stake for the respective women (and, possibly, for Stephen/Taj versus JT). Should that prove to be the case, I'm confident that, based on what we've seen so far, that Sierra's bonds will win the day.

That's what I mean by edited reality versus game reality.

My take on the hints we've been given is that the upcoming mother of all battles between JT and Stephen is likely to rest on the sub-alliances they've made. That is, the remaining Exile Alliance trio, led by Stephen, will eventually be pitted against JT and Erinn and whomever else.

We've been conditioned to expect the trust betweeen JT anad Stephen to be broken. Whoever prevails in that titanic struggle will have their alliance to thank and I feel that this was the EA's ultimate purpose.

If not, then you're probably right and JT wins.

As you can see from the above, FLF, I couldn't really give a flying rat's toss-bag about what happens to the EA per se. My take is only that it will be useful in determining the winner, as outlined above.

In any case, you must have been receiving mixed signals from the permutations involving the EA as, until very recently, you were quite bullish on Brendan's chances.
