We keep hearing about how annoying Sierra is but - unless I've totally missed something, have we seen ANY of that?! I mean seriously?? Naive, yes, but
never straight-up annoying. And after some of the harsh words from some of her tribe mates at the last TC (looking at you, Erinn) - it's funny to me that
they're hiding this.

But anyways, there's been some insider clips or interviews or something where people say Sierra won't shut up about all the traveling she has done in her life. Kind of like Coach but it's not funny to Timbira like he is. Her raving about living in Hong Kong I think got on Erinn's nerves in particular. Erinn's voting comment was anti-Sierra as well last week. Something like I would gladly vote you out 1000 times . . . . |

If she was going to win, this would be highlighted. So she isn't going to win, and likely won't make the final two either, or the audience will be
shocked when people see the hate being flung at her.

Didn't Brendan also say in his final words or day after interview that he wished he would have learned what kind of person Sierra was before allying with
her. I think he said something like that. This could mean even Brendan, her only/closest, ally can't even stand her.

Jeff - Please Read This!

Dear Jeff -
Please do NOT ever stop writing your episode blogs! I enjoy the blogs as much as the show itself. Reading the responses, I have to 'assume' that the people with a sense of humor that understand sarcasm are lurkers (like I usually am) and are not posting. I literally have to close the door to my office before I read your blogs so my boss won't hear me laughing (because we all know there is no laughing allowed at work). NOW - with that being said I can NOT stand Coach. I can not find any redeeming qualities (at least with the edit we are shown on TV, no scratch that, he can't be that good of an actor). NOW - with that being said, IF your 'affection' for Coach is not based on his 'outstanding entertainment value' and is actually based on a true liking of the guy, please keep that to yourself and do not bust my 'fantasy bubble' that I happen to live in. Keep up the good work, I would love to be on the show, but apparently do not have the 'bikini rating required' |

It could be we aren't seeing it because 1) She doesn't matter in the long run and/or 2) She teams up with JT/Stephen (the people we're supposed to like) against the evil Tyson/Coach duo, so they don't want us to dislike her and taint (yes, I said taint) the "good guys". |

Wow. Got the outcome right but did not see THAT going down. Clearly, I over-estimated Sierra and her ability to work JT. Taj and Debbie are not non-players...
Their strategy of letting the alpha males decide is clearly working for them. I lost some respect for both Sierra and JT. The biggest sleaze ball of the game
may prove to be Stephen. I think he'd sell his momma for a reward. JT better watch his ass.

As far as they were concerned they still wanted her to believe that she was going. I think JT may have been putting it on to keep Sierra thinking that they were sending her home. |

JT seems to really dislike her, Taj just seems annoyed by her based on the insider clips.

Jeff's EW blog for Tocantins

How soon we forget. Sugar anyone? She was really disliked last year (by almost everyone but Bob) but at least had the common sense to have her
"sweet" moments on tape which is what the editors put up for us to see. We never saw the Sugar that cut up peoples bags to make herself clothes and
it was never emphasized at how she did nothing to help around camp. We only saw sweetness and light.
Sierra is obviously different... she doesn't have any "happy" or "sweet" moments that the cameras can show us. So instead we only get that she is disliked but we really don't have anything to show us why the dislike. |

Jeff Probst blogs 'Survivor: Tocantins' (episode 10)
Hey all, How good was that episode?! On a scale of 1-10, I'd love your feedback. I honestly think it's one of the best Survivor episodes ever, for the following reasons: 1. LOVED IT: The opening shot of Coach standing in the water doing his various poses - not because it's Coach but because if you really go back and look at the shot it's absolutely amazing. Our helicopter team is so good. That shot is really beautiful as it spins around him and then pulls away. It's movie good. Bet you didn't even notice it - it was that good. Go back and check. 2. HATED IT: Okay, I've had just about enough of Sierra having to plead for her life with everybody else. Coach, Tyson, Debbie - everybody lecturing her. The ''older folk'' are working the young girl over and now Sierra is my new favorite underdog. Sierra, tell them to shut it. It's easy to do. Just say, ''Shut it.'' Even Serena is really pissed. She is mad that Sierra has never been given a fair shot. From day one, when she was sick and ousted from the tribe, she has been working hard to earn their approval. Serena is angry. Very angry. I like it when Serena gets angry. BTW: Tyson, you're wrong - her boyfriend IS pretty cool. Mess with him, you mess with me and you don't want to mess with me. Okay, check that, maybe you do want to mess with me, so I'm just asking, please don't mess with me. 3. TENDER MOMENT: Coach has a heart. He extends an olive branch to the young female Dragon Slayer in the making, Sierra. She needs a better Dragon Slayer name though - how about Sierra-Mota. Has a certain ring, I think. And Sierra with a beautiful line: ''How do you save the kind enemy?'' I know for many of you this just passes by without appreciation, but as a veteran of this reality world, I'm telling you this kind of writing is rare air. Serena says, ''It's like we're in the Twilight zone. None of this makes any sense.'' 4. WEATHER ORGASM: Oh, you know I love the rain. Love it. Love it. Love it. If there is such thing as a ''reality show host program orgasm'' this is it for me. Go ahead, make all the pithy comments you want. I encourage them all because I own it - I love the rain. But to have rain...mixed along with hot pizza and a huge dilemma for the contestants... you have a Survivor episode worthy of an Emmy. And an orgasm worthy of it's own blog. Are you reading this Emmy voters? I challenge you to watch this episode and then tell me this show is not worthy of an Emmy nomination. I'm not positioning, I'm merely preaching the gospel. Where's the love? Let us back in the game for crying out loud. 5. POSER ALERT: Coach, you're such a poser! The ''dragon slayer'' who wants to change the game and play against the best, doesn't think twice about opting for pizza over immunity? I expected better. Coach's ''I'm hungry'' move just about did Serena in for the night. ''These three guys (Coach, Stephen, JT) think they are king of the world and it pisses me off.'' Okay I'm not that mad, that's what happens in this game. It's what is supposed to happen in the game. That's how it's designed. You think you're in control so you take a chance. Stephen and JT clearly feel they are very safe in this game. That kind of cockiness is fun to watch but it can backfire quickly, so heads up country mouse and city slicker - watch your backs. 6. WRITE THIS DOWN: ''It would be (bleeping) stupid if we made an alliance, gave it a name, bandied the name about, talked about ourselves being warriors and then chickened out at the last second.'' Oh man, that made me laugh so hard I had to play it back again and again so I could get it exactly right when I added it to the blog. Coach you may be a poser, but are a classic, dude. 7. CAN YOU SAY BLINDSIDE?: Tyson, I am going to miss you so much. Man, you were a blast. People will miss you way more than they realize. But dude, what a great blindside, eh? I mean they kicked your ass. Zero idea. Great hair at tribal council, by the way. FINAL WORDS: I know this season has been a slow burn...but I hope you're starting to enjoy it as much as I hoped you would. Like I said, tonight was hands down my favorite episode of the season and one of my favorites of all time. I look forward to your always-insightful comments. |

I'd give the show "10 out of 10".
This is my first season of watching it - and I'm hooked. First thing first; no one here seems to have any insight on why JT called Sierra a Lying
Beeotch. I get the Erinn / Sierra rivalry… but JT? What are we not being shown? Why? For all we know she talks about Singapore or New Zealand: Hardly seems to
hold a candle Coach's constant recanting of his exploits (real or imagined).
I had hoped Sierra would spend less time defending her actions and more time trying to pull off the upset (kudos Erinn). She doesn't need seek approval
from her former tribe mates. I just hope she realizes that. I'd rather see her with JT / TAJ and Stephen. Will that happen? Again, WTH JT? Blows my
"mojo" theory out of the water!
Coach is a thousand bad things but to his credit he IS a puppet master. He's holds a cultish appeal for weak-minded Debbie (no offense) who hasn't made
the mental leap that she's in a bad position. He's the kind of guy that would start a cult in the Amazon and Debbie's the type to drink the
KoolAid. David Koresh, Jimmy Jones, Coach…
He's hard to watch each week only because it's sad. Not entertaining. He really believes his own rhetoric. I LOVED that the host dropped that dime last night! It's like he's read all of our complaining and pleas for SOMEONE to take him to task on his duplicity. I just didn't think it would have to come from the other side of the fire pit. Serena = Sierra. Sounds better than "Bride-of-Dragon" or Dragon Doo-Doo. That just re-affirms how crushed Coach was that his affection for Sierra was not returned. The Brendan ousting was pure revenge; it's infuriating watching him tap dance around the host's question about it.
Can't wait to see what happens next! Go girls!

First season watching the show KungPaoKitty? Well, this would be a good season to break your Survivor cherry. But you have to go back and watch some other
great seasons, especially the first to see how the show has evolved (and de-evolved in some ways).
But ya, that was one of the best episodes. I did notice the panning helicopter shot at the beginning, and thought how much Coach must be loving the attention he was getting. And I am really really enjoying the cinematography this season. The nature shots on high def are incredible. That snake coiling and of course the previous episodes spider swarm are just a few of the memorable shots. And the evil Tyson being blindsided (along with Sierra being blindsided by the vote) was classic. Not a 10 out of 10 for an episode. It would have been if there was more tension made at TC, ya know like when JP (the 'host' Kung P) is getting mad, or survivors are yelling at each other. I love the way that Jalapao has undertaken the perfect play, given their disadvantaged numbers going into the merge. I think Joe leaving right away was a very good thing for the remaining 3. JT, the excessively dominant IC threat, is just too loveable to vote off. And Taj and Stephen are quiet and unassuming and definitely no threat for immunity. So the majority tribe, Timbira, starts to cannibalize themselves. And the 3 Jalapao members are smart enough to stay cool and do just the amount of work needed to ingratiate themselves to the master tribe. This is why I am liking the season so much, it has some very smart people. I really enjoy listening to Stephen and Erinn's vidcaps and their narration through the season. When I look back at Gabon, it just seemed to be filled with idiots. Even the self proclaimed intellects, were social retards (Randy and Ken).

Does this mean Sierra makes it to the family visit (which may be next episode anyway) or would JiffyPop have had another opportunity to meet him? |

Sierra is rumored to make F6 so that would put her as making the family visit.

Okay, check that, maybe you do want to mess with me, so I'm just asking, please don't mess with me.So Sierra IS dating a producer. Wasn't that impressed with the episode. One, it was all about Sierra the underdog but she's too much of a whiny drip to pull off the role. Second, editing made it very obvious that Tyson was leaving with his previous arrogance in regard to the Erinn\Sierra, and the sheer logic of the #1 threat going when he isn't immune. Timbira handed the game Jollypal. THREE factions independently wanted to sell out the others. Erinn and the HII would have given them numbers last night even if Tyson and Sierra wanted to work together. Worst overall social play by a tribe ever! It has been so easy for Jollypal, they may yet turn on each other. |
