Tyson's blindside wasn't that great. It might have been a shock to him, but any viewer with half a brain clearly saw it coming. By making it very
abundantly clear that everyone wanted Sierra out (even with the previews and commercials), the editors made it very clear that Sierra wasn't actually
leaving.
The best blindsides, IMO, come out of nowhere. John Carroll & Leann Slaby come to mind. But the Tyson/Coach alliance has been set up to take a massive fall since the first episode. |

Ozzy's was one of the best, simply because they had advertised that episode as someone making a dumb move. I, along with others, thought it was definitely
Jason giving up immunity to feed the tribe. Even with the girls scheming against Ozzy I didn't believe it, but looking back now it's pretty obvious.
Another one is sort of random - Jolanda in Palau. She didn't see it coming and neither did I. Due to editing I was convinced that Angie was leaving, plus I heard a rumor Angie left the game early and heard nothing like that about Jolanda. |

Why do people always think of Post-ASS when it comes to blindsides? There were many amazing blindsides beforehand, just not 15 a season like it is now.

Has there ever been a situation in the past like Sierra who knew she was going to get voted 100% out but had no idea that she's staying instead?
