Prior to this season of "Celebrity Apprentice", I really had no use for Melissa Rivers. I considered her a sycophantic younger version of her mother who seemed to be content to stand always in her mother's shadow. And Joan herself had gotten on my nerves more often than not in recent years, what with her bitchy "red carpet" BS shows.

But I came to respect both of them during the course of this show, Melissa because she's a hard worker, knows her stuff, doesn't shirk any thing asked of her, and tries to always do her best. She's clever and quick thinking, flexible in her ideas; if one doesn't work, move to the next one. I have more respect for Joan now than ever before. She has demonstrated a lot more smarts and savvy and wisdom when it came to dealing with others than I expected from her, but then again she was also still bitchy old Joan in her exchanges with Annie.

So I was disappointed last night with The Donald when he fired Melissa. She really was NOT to blame for her team's loss in that task - she was given little to do, her input was ignored, almost the entire concept and execution was on ANNIE'S shoulders, not Melissa's. What the whole thing showed me was that Trump was all about the money, no matter what else. Everything took last place next to the money.

And since this particular task was NOT about raising money, or who sold the most stuff, but rather a totally subjective undertaking of designing a magazine ad, I don't feel money should have played a part in the final decision.

I can't stand that phony-baloney, sickly sweet pit viper Annie. I loved it when Joan told her she was lower than trailer trash.
