I couldn't understand why Jacquie's boot was even considered a blindside. Thank you for reminding me of one of my few good calls because this is what I wrote in the RTVW voting thread for that episode:

"Jacquie:
It can very well be Kelly but I have a problem with that choice: Why would NuFang vote out Kelly when Kota just told them she was at the bottom of their totem pole? Because Ace said so? I'd get rid of the woman that was designated as an alliance member."

Putting that aside, we need a definition of blindside: Are we the ones to be blindsided or is it the player? For me, it's when the player gets blindsided because we certainly knew Tyson was going. The best blindsides should be when both the audience and the player are completely fooled but the player has to come first. Gretchen, Mitchell, Jerri, John, Alex, Christy, Leann are some of the best ever.

Even if Jacquie thought she may have saved herself, she still knew the votes could go her way. She was disappointed more than blindsided.

Bobdawg was a good one but we saw it coming. That episode served more to show Casaya's craziness than set up a surprise boot.
