I bet it's another one of those "nobody loses" family visits. Like Bob thought he won the video, and then his wife sneaked up on him, and then
they brought everybody. Exile is pointless now anyways. Probably won't have the family stay overnight, the weather is still too miserable for them to just
jump right in to it..
Taj and Debbie presumably would have their husband visit. Do we know anything about anyone else? |

At least this one is better (using Auction) compared to the Gabon one. Coz in Gabon, Bob's winning was pretty much useless since everybody got to see their
family at random.
Coach most definitely would get the equally oblivious brother. |

I am wondering, assuming that's correct...everybody has family time...if the "comfort" vs benefit the rest of the tribe part isn't something like "be whisked away to a luxury overnight visit with loved one," or stay at camp and everyone else gets the same opportunity as well.

You know, I always thought it was suspicious that they all got to see their family members in Gabon... it's almost like the producers didn't want to
miss including Sugar's overly positive spreading of her father's ashes in Africa, "the one place he never got to go but desperately wanted to
see." Don't get me wrong I loved Sugar in spite her shameless mactressy ways <3, but that Family Reward seemed just a little to convenient for the
editors. I guess we'll see if it's a new trend or if Gabon's nobody loses was a one time thing... I tend to lean towards the latter.

For Erinn it's definitely a parent or sibling or something, since we know she broke up with her boyfriend.

I hope Taj wins the family visit. It would be cool to see Eddie George. Well, cooler than someone else's loved one.

i know they've tried to whomp up the drama before with the winner of a car having to choose keeping the car or giving one to everyone else, all in hopes of
causing animosity and drama...with mixed results. I would think, however, that while a car is a car, family is family and that *anyone* who chose to rob the
others from seeing their family members just so they can secret away to some retreat would immediately and systematically be booted the next TC. Alliances be
damned.
Would SEG put in that offer/twist/situation that, should the person choose themselves over the tribe, they would be almost assuredly booted? WOuldn't that be interfering too much in the natural order of things? |

I don't think it would be an automatic boot, although it wouldn't win you any goodwill. Say it is Taj. She basically gets along with everyone, as far
as we know. She was all connected with the little kid on the reward. She wins the video of her family, completely dissolves, and in that rush of emotion,
apologizing helplessly, chooses her family over everyone else's. Nobody is happy, but they all understand it wasn't aimed at hurting them, and
they're all in the same boat, so there's not a few people left sulking and plotting. (Probably really MB and them aren't that mean. If you made the
hard choice, really it would turn out that your loved one comes to visit on exile or something.)
On the other hand, if someone like Taj did give up her visit, she would get a lot of credit for it. Someone like Ben (who btw uses phrases like "ultimate sacrifice") probably wouldn't gain as much. I'm not saying that to be mean about his family, but he just seems like those sorts of connections aren't as important to him. Seeing his loved one today or ten days from now wouldn't be as important to him as would be positioning himself as the "hero" who lets all the other (weaker) people have their little comfort. |

Maybe no pictures because it may be the loved ones have to eat worms, bugs, etc. I hope it isn't.

Taj's husband = Kiss of death | ||
|
Just saying, if Taj gets to see her husband...her RICH and FAMOUS husband...everybody will go ape-shit one way or the other just because it IS the famous
what'sisname...And it will pointedly remind everybody, including her JollyPals...that SHE DOESN'T NEED THE MONEY.
Not good for Taj's winning...But it does make her the perfect F2 goat, y'know... And everybody will have a reaction to seeing Whatzhisface...Most negatively, I think... Which would seal in someone like Stephen's mind or even JT that SHE is the perfect F2 partner...NObody would vote for her... But they all are such gamers that they know a win is a win and it doesn't matter how many votes you get 4, 5, 6, 7 out of 7, you win at any of those numbers... Also, I keep feeling JT is going to win the final immunity and take Stephen and lose to him... We just saw how Stephen won the Chap, er, Chip, er, CHOP challenge VERY easily...They must all like him...They really like him... And I do think also something is up between Erinn and Stephen. WE ARE SHOWN him giving her his red sweatshirt....That didn't have to be shown... I also think Stephen is more connected to Taj than JT is...GO STEVE-O! |

MissRabbit wrote:Well they did this with the family visit the last time they were in Brazil during season 6. Matt won the challenge but Probst gave him the offer of giving up his visit to let the rest of the tribe see their loved ones. Matt let the others see their loved ones, but if I recall he later got to see his mom anyways. |

The tribe mates receive videos from home, and one will have to sacrifice their own reward to allow comfort to the others. From CBS site. You all are right, sounds like the Matt sacrifice as in Amazon. But would be difficult for Taj to sacrifice for the tribe. |

JoeJoeJunior wrote: Yup. Matt won, and then Jeff asked him if he thought it was better to give or to recieve. Matt of course said "give", then Probst made the offer. Matt of course gave everyone the family time, which I believe ended up being 10 or 15 minutes. After the other family people left, Jeff said "Well, it just so happens that we at Survivor think it's better to give as well". They brought his mom in on a boat, and he got to go on the real reward with her, dinner and some Amazonian dancers. And his mom told him "Don't be so formal" while they were eating, lol. |
