The red line in front of (to our left in the photo) the balance beams probably just marks the balancing section - you can't set your foot on the ground inside that line. (You know how usually they try to run on the balance beam, like cartoon characters running off a cliff, and sorta of jump/fall off the end?) Probst needs a marker so he can say yep you made it or no go back.

Something happens after the balance beam though. There's a higher fence marking the side boundary of the open sandy area. Either mindless digging, aka stupidest challenge segment ever, some kind of mindful digging like with compass clues, or just somehow transporting yourself to the other side to get the bag of puzzle pieces, secured by knots, locks, or quizzes.

I'm hoping there's some mental piece other than the puzzle at the end. Would they say "brains and brawn" if it were just the same old do-something-physical to get the pieces, then solve the puzzle? Maybe something like that long immunity challenge in China, where they had to answer questions to get the keys.
