And sceptic, the opening confessionals in of themselves don't tell us who will win but they tell us which players should receive our attention. This show is edited on different levels, with a lot of stuff for the casual fans and to explain the vote but there are also clues for us addicts.
DeadNotSlipping, you wrote, "The entire first episode was about Stephen being wrong in his first impression."
Surely you don't mean that. The entire first episode?
His observation was not simply that the old lady was first to go. You are neglecting the second part of his confessional, which puts a different take on his old lady observation, to wit: He would not be first. Yes, Sandy was not the first to get her torch snuffed, although she was the first to get voted to not "take the journey." And say what you want, but the tribe thought they were voting her out, and that vote was strictly based on first impressions.
But if Stephen was really wrong about his entire first confessional, he'd have been the first voted out. That was the point of what he said.
