The only plausible reason I can think of for Stephen and Coach sitting there, is they are out of the challenge at that point.

Trix those shoes show the collapsing scene is probaby post challenge, rather than before a potential official start. Otherwise she wouldn't have gone to
get them, she would have just stood around waiting to see what they do with Coach. She has them off in the Press shot with Coach in position. They wouldn't
begin again in mid-challenge.

But if it's before the challenge even started, she may not have had them off yet, and thus would not have had to put them back on.
I really wouldn't be at all surprised if Coach knows he's done, so he fakes an injury, and when that doesn't save him, he pretends that's why he has to leave the game, as if he wouldn't have been voted out otherwise. Good riddance. |

This pic says so much about the tribe dynamics. You got Taj choking down a grin behind Coach and Erinn not even bothering to help. Stephen is completely taken in by whatever Coach is up to, though. He looks truly concerned. |

Good point, Martrae. JT has reached out for Coach too. I do think the boys really care about him. They'd be smart to keep Coach over Erinn, imo.
She's a lot healthier and 'bad ass' (her quote about herself so meant as a compliment)

crocophile wrote:Post challenge? After the challenge is completely over and whoever won won you mean? This pic shows him awfully close to the challenge area. Isn't that the wood foundation where the colored boards come up from? Wouldn't that mean he fell during the challenge then? If he was already eliminated he would be at the bench right? He looks like he dropped right in front of the challenge area and that is where everyone was helping him and walking him to the bench. Maybe I am misunderstanding you dear :-) cause I still don't understand why Erinn would have her shoes on then if Coach is dropping right in front of the challenge area; that tells me he "collapsed" during the challenge (possible reason for the groan) and if that is the case, then they all came down to help him and Erinn just happened to decide she needed her shoes (perhaps thinking it would leave a nice tread on Coach's face)
Not that it may mean anything either but when they show the promo where he is on the ground and everyone is crowded around him, Erinn is not there originally; you can see her foot step into the shot and that is when it was capped by VT that her sneaker was there; she is coming behind where Stephen is hunched down so why would she be doing that if this is during the challenge.

In looking at the scream picture and the amount of angle space between coach and the back support 2 x 4, I am thinking the space looks much bigger than on the
picture with all 5 of them standing on the top peg. The scream picture seems more of a straight on shot so maybe he is on the 2nd or 3th peg? Maybe the whole
thing is camera angles. Also the clouds and sky in the Ben on ground shot is very different from the clouds in the group of 5 standing on pegs shot. So lots
of time has passed since they started and coach is really in till the end of the IC.
Can someone else give and expert opinion on the peg Ben is on when he screams based on the open space between coach and that 2x4 space? Ben is certainly sitting on a bench with Stephen and his dragon slayer cane so it has to be after exile and likely at the IC. As bad as he looks on the bench maybe he goes down after the winner is declared. Maybe he goes down as they are getting ready and Erinn just hasn't gotten her shoes off yet. Maybe he and his new best friend Stephen are sitting while Jeff is giving someone the IC necklace. All very confusing. |

^ That is where they keep the Immunity Neckace. Around the branch that holds the tarp. You can see it on the last episode when JT showed the Immunity to his
sister.

As far as the IC vidcaps go, is it possible that Coach collapses before the challenge starts (and Erinn is still in her shoes) ? After all, no player is wearing the IN in that vidcap. After the medic looks at him, Coach is allowed to participate in the IC but is one of the first out and we see the vidcap of Coach on the bench with the stick/cane. |

They're awful close the the challenge area. Unless they were walking over to it to get started when Coach collapsed they generally don't let the
contestants close enough to tinker with the challenge equipment. And if they were walking over, wouldn't Erinn have her shoes off already?

Wow this is more intense analysis than when is the Spider Challenge going to happen.
Maybe - Coach is walking up to the challenge area and a scorpion stings him! Nah - I think he fell off during the challenge. I don't think the challenge would have stopped so I think that there was probably at least one other person left and that person was able to come down as soon as Coach dropped. That is why he is still on the ground and everyone is around him. Distinct possibility that Erinn won this one... OR it was agreed previously before IC that Coach would be voted out if he didn't win immunity and as soon as he dropped the remaining players dropped out in rapid sequence knowing that their one goal of keeping the IN from Coach had been accomplished. |

Ben is probably not the first one to drop out of this challenge. The other ones out would be sitting on the bench. Ben could dramatically fall, and those still participating in the challenge could continue on. (I suspect he's checked by staff and declared "ok.") Especially if Erinn is the winner, and if Erinn has been in confrontation with him concerning "martyrdom" she might just isolate herself and put on her shoes rather than rush to hover over Ben expressing sympathy with the others. I would think the first person to be at Ben's side would be JP if Ben fell during the challenge, and we were not shown this in the promo. |

I think the collapsing scene is as simple as Coach, Stephen and the other losers go over to congratulate the winner and he collapses. The winner is either Taj
or JT because they are in that group.
Anyway the story this week is it's Coach or Erinn and that tells me straight out niether wins IC. |

Can someone else give and expert opinion on the peg Ben is on when he screams based on the open space between coach and that 2x4 space?I can give you my opinion (which is no expert) it looks like he is still at the same rung - the way the wood bar angles out appears to be the same
I still think that he may have hurt himself ON the challenge (hence the scream) and if that is the case, it still doesn't make sense to me why Erinn would have her shoes on and come from around Stephen. Coach is too close to the challenge area for me to believe that he was already eliminated and with that groan, it seems that he would have just fallen from the challenge; if he collapsed from the bench why would he be positioned the way he is on the ground with them after walking him towards the bench? I would think that he'd be closer to the bench and they'd prop him back on the bench then Also can someone watch the video and tell me what slightly swings towards him while he is holding that cane. It's right on the bottom left hand side (our left) Can I ask how we know that is definitely Stephen sitting next to him on the bench? I'm only asking b/c I didn't see where we knew this for sure. Could it be JT? Just curious on that because that object swinging towards Coach may be a canteen rope and if that is the case, either Stephen or JT (I think JT is holding something also helping Coach up) are hunched in front of him near that stick cane. |

I don't know. I think any speculation based on what it would make sense for Ben to do is going to be fruitless.
OR it was agreed previously before IC that [Ben] would be voted out if he didn't win immunity and as soon as he dropped the remaining players dropped out in rapid sequence knowing that their one goal of keeping the IN from Coach had been accomplished. This is my favorite so far. Explains Taj's smile and JT/Stephen's over-solicitiousness. And Erinn's tasteless spitting as she walks by. Then back at camp, JT showing how long the needle is that the medic stuck into his leg. |

Isn't it possible that Erinn took off her shoes and left them on the platform behind her while she was doing the challenge? She comes down, slips her
shoes on then shows up at Coach's side. If JT/Taj/Stephen were still in challenge, its possible that they went straight to Coach without bothering to get
their shoes on.

Anything is possible rower :-) I just don't want to get locked into that Erinn won this IC because compared to the others and based on the challenge, she
is the best choice (Twilla cured me of that :-))
I don't know. I think any speculation based on what it would make sense for Ben to do is going to be fruitless.Nah..... I've always been one to attempt to examine the muck in the petrie (petri) dish |

here's something to toss into the mix......
Full sunshine. Name placards are casting a huge crisp shadow. Faces have sun on them and body parts are casting shadows as well
No sunshine on face, nor shadows
No sunshine on faces, nor shadows from body parts or name placards
Ditto on this picture too.
Ergo, Coach's scream, fall & assistance to the bench most likely does not happen immediately before or during the start of the challenge when all 5 of them are still in it. Since Taj is nowhere to be seen when Coach screams, my guess is she has already dropped out of the challenge (and possibly others) when the "incident" happens. It's still blue skies in the distance, but most likely a cloud just moved in to block the direct sunlight. Because of that, there's no way to tell how much time has elapsed between the start and the incident, but we can most likely dismiss that it happens as they are getting ready to start the challenge. (of course, there's always the option that it happened before the challenge, then after a doctor gives the all clear, *then* they started the challenge. The sun could have been behind the clouds for the incident, came back out from behind the clouds when they started the challenge...then went behind the clouds again after Taj dropped out for the Coach scream sans sunlight) |
