Hey do you agree with this? artists in/associated with the country genre (or, to speak more broadly and stereotypically, artists with "heartland" appeal) tend to get the biggest Mothers' Day boosts. if so perhaps you'd be interested to know that Carrie received the SMALLEST increase out of the most relevant names in country fuck Taylor got the largest out of anyone with 48% increase in sales! her debut got an 18% increase! |

Carrie is selling really well for an album that has been out over a year and a half. Especially considering someone like Kelly Clarkson whose album has only
been out a couple of months and who has two songs charting on the pop charts only outsold her by 5,000 units. Go Carrie!

Looks like some bots are too heavily interested in Tayor Swift. That's like continuous talk of Miley Cyrus in the Yelly thread, which by the way has and
is PWNING Yelly's last 2 albums! 27 year old being bested by teens in the pop world.
Although TS is listed officially in the country genre, she's not singing country as far as I know. I think every one of her singles almost have been pop remixed and are doing great taking away most of Yelly's pop audience! Soon Selna Gomez may pass Yelly in sales, who knows. Gotta love the teen pop machine, they sure can crank them out every year. One thing though, they do keep VH1 in business with thier reality washed up teen shows. |
