Two of the most well liked people in the game. STEPHEN - Best bet is to go up against Erinn, who he could probably beat. ERINN - A long shot due to her betrayal - hard for her to get votes from the former Timbira members on the jury. Might be smart to take her all the way to the end. Posts: 4548 (05/15/09 10:36 AM) Registered User More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	What I found interesting was that for Taj they decided to focus on her saying how she will backstab people, even though in the show the editors never made it out of there way to show Taj as a backstabber, even with the whole EA. Stephen and the whole David and goliath thing has been mentioned before, JT and being a competitor has been mentioned, Erinn has mentioned winning the million when Tyson was booted, but Taj has never mentioned backstabbing people. Does Taj turn against JT/Stephen at F4?

Like every other two-hour season finale for the past ten years. Really, is that "special"? All of Probst's comments, except about JT, are just silly inconsistent with the story we've been shown so far. Is Taj well-liked by the jury? Who knows, it's not like we've seen her since the merge. Does anyone other than Ben see Erinn's success as "betrayal" since none of them ever were allied with her? The final two "turn on each other"? As if it were, gasp, a competition?

Will probably be just as shocking as the Gabon F4 vote. Taj finally gets wise to the JT/Stephen Final 2 and forces a tie against whichever one doesn't win Immunity (probably Stephen). But the editing comes back into play. We saw on Exile Stephen make fire and Erinn not be able to. Rather symbolically, Erinn loses. F3: "Carefully constructed lie". Taj tries to get out of her folly by telling Stephen that JT told her to vote for him. We've seen throughout the season that she's apparantly a lot closer to him than JT, so it would be kind of a last-ditch effort. JT wins Immunity, the doubt comes from Stephen as to whether Taj's lie is true. Turns out it isn't, and just like they've talked about in every one of the past three episodes, Taj is voted out. F2: "Turn on each other". Would make sense for the boys to finally turn on each other, as they have to basically prove to the jury why the other person doesn't deserve to win. Also shows that Erinn probably doesn't make the finals, as nobody is truly that close with her to "turn on her," especially JT and Stephen.

These items may have some bearing on what happens or end up being ironic because they don't. Taj saying emphatically the final three are JT/S/T JT/Stephen saying final two (I may be wrong but it always seems like JT is the one saying it while Stephen gives a "yeah" "uh huh" Stephen telling JT that he will need to go on an immunity run The whole JT/Stephen "I trust you" spiel (which again it seems more like JT says it with Stephen giving the "yeah") Stephen making fire at EI and a big production made of that. (Of note regarding manipulation - Coach's last comments made regarding Stephen and his knowing Stephen 'betrayed him". The final words get cut down and sometimes certain things are used for a reason, so maybe Coach's line with respect to Stephen has bearing at the FTC) Just mulling some stuff that may parlay itself into the final show

If it was anyone + Erinn, there wasn't really much there in the way of allies and friends etc. she was more an alliance of convenience and there's no real love lost between her and the others. MrX819... your scenario seems very plausible.

It could be they realize that Erinn is a better final 2 goat, or think Taj is the bigger threat. So Taj gets voted out. There could be a tie at the final 4 like some people speculated. This season there has been a record number of blindsides promoted. So I don't think Taj is in the final 3. Stephen/JT has been pushed as the power duo. If Stephen picked Taj for the final 2 over JT, I don't think that would end up being especially shocking to the audience. Of course CBS could call a Taj boot as at the final 3 as a blindside even if it really isn't. I think the final 2 is a combination Stephen with either Erinn or JT. That doesn't mean I think that Stephen/Erinn/JT are the final 3. Stephen has 2 people that want to take him to the final 2 (Taj/JT). So I think Stephen will most likely make the final 3. Taj getting voted out before Erinn would be a blindside. Most people probably assume the final 3 will be JT/Stephen/Taj. I think the editing is either hinting at the long speculated final 2 of Stephen/JT or some blindsides resulting in Erinn going to the final 3. Of course it is always possible that Taj realizes she needs to force a tie at the final 4. I can see Taj doing this to JT but not Stephen.

The editing last year made it seem like Sugar was always more firmly with Matty then with Kenny/Crystal. Which is why I never thought that Kenny/Sugar/Crystal were the final 3. Sugar it turns out took her final 3 alliance with Kenny/Sugar/Crystal more seriously then the one she had with Matty/Susie. Now later on she turned on Kenny/Crystal after she felt bad about how they treated Matty. It could be Stephen's plan to turn on JT but he never got the chance. So it was left out of the show, or they leave it for the finale to shock the audience (Probst hyping up all of the blindsides).

The great thing about Stephen/JT is that they "allow" disagreement in their alliance... They discuss it and move on. But Stephen clearly recognizes that JT made the Erinn vote as a strategic move to get Coach's vote at the finale. I wholeheartedly agree with Trixigos assessment of the dangling "participles" and think she is right on target. (I do believe that there will be some talk from Stephen about the fact that he doesn't want to face JT in the finals but he doesn't have the nerve to put a plan in action and pull the trigger. The reason - because he doesn't trust Erinn not to dump him at the final three and take Taj to the end. We have seen that Erinn can do well in challenges and she is strategic so Stephen has to decide if he wants to take the risk. At this point, I think Stephen will take the safe path.) I also find Mr X819's speculation is very logical and could be on the money. Bottom line, is I think that CBS is pimping up as much "drama" as possible when in all likihood there is only a remote chance that JT/Stephen don't make the final two.

To sum it up, Mr. X feels that TAJ forces a tie with Erinn and JT OF COURSE wins the Spider Challenge. And it's Stephen v. Erinn in a fire-making tie-breaker and Erinn goes anyway. I hope it doesn't take as long as Cirie's first exit... Then it's Taj at F3 and JT and Stephen as the F2. All of which jibes with TDT's summation/speculation, except the Taj mutiny at F4... So who would win that? Didn't VG have that red Jollypal bandana hanging on the letter "S" in her "Sting" clue? Stephen's intelligence and unbelievable verbal skills will blaze out at the end I think. He's a wannabe WRITER y'know...+ Yale...vs. the Country Boy who misses his cows...I wonder...Hmmm...
