So... Stephen saves Erinn against JT's wishes, and all we hear about their relationship all episode is how Stephen is mad at Erinn.

Stephen is going to backstab JT next episode. This entire episode alluded to it: That is what they want you to believe. If anything, I see JT finding out about Stephen's plan and going after him. After Stephen's vote for Coach, he now knows where Stephen's head is at. He is not going to let it happen. I think Stephen's comments about JT going on an immunity run will ring true, and Stephen will have nothing to say about it. The whole debate about having a Stephen/JT final 2.......well, just about anything else would be a huge disappointment....it has been building to that all season..... 4th- Taj 3rd-Erinn 2nd-Stephen 1st- JT |

Edgically, Stephen wins. But I'm really feeling like Erinn is going to win. Hopefully it won't be like last season where 10 minutes into the finale we
were like, "We're fucked. Bob wins." I want a Stephen/Erinn final 2 where I'm in the dark about who wins, but I really just have a feeling
she Morascas her way to victory. So my pre-finale prediction is : Erinn.

I can't wait to hear the post-show rationalization from the Erinn fans tomorrow night.
My prediction is we'll be seeing a lot of "The editing this season sucked! They didn't even try to hide the Stephen/JT Final 2!" posts tomorrow. |

Eh, I think pretty much everyone agrees Stephen is the most likely winner. Still, it seems like Erinn's gotten a pretty meaningful edit considering her
place in everything that went down, and I think a lot of people just naturally root for the dark horse. I do, anyway.
If the winner is a male it's Stephen. If not, it's Erinn! Please hold your applause for my brilliant prediction. |

As long as Stephen wins it will be a clear victory for edgic.
The consensus everywhere else in "JT\Stephen F2 with JT winning." That's the "so obvious it's boring" pick, just like Marcus winning last season. But if you look below the surfuce, as people in this thread usually do best, JT is going down." I really think editing's focus on JT\Stephen the last 5 episodes has been a spillover from the obsession with Coach and his Warrior Alliance. Because Coach's dumbass strategy set the 2 boys up as the Deciders on the last 5 votes. Their hasn't been any emphasis on who might vote for which Jollyboy if they are F2, or much doubt from alternative endgame plans. And game logic says that with Coach and Debbie gone, for the first time JT isn't in the power position. Survivor Trivia - nobody who has swept F5 RC and IC has ever won Survivor. Erik lost, Terry lost, RobM lost, Matt lost. Lex, Colby, and Kelly might have done it, they lost.

Matty and Kenny got decent edits too. Lots of non-winners get decent edits.

If she goes out fourth and JT and Stephen get to the final two, I don't see the purpose of her edit. I think it's meatier than that. We'll see. |

Lots of women have also made final 4 and gotten substantial edits - Scout, Eliza, Sugar, Courtney, etc.
And she wouldn't just be a random girl who got voted out at final 4. She's the last Timbira standing. That's more than enough to justify her edit. |

Seacrest22 wrote: Scout, Eliza, Sugar, and Courtney were all very important to the plot of their seasons though. And Scout is a man, so that point is moot. Plus, Natalie was the last fan standing, and yet when she didn't really have a storyline, they made no effort to show her. We saw Erinn when we didn't absolutely HAVE to, and edgic is about spotting things like that. Erinn is F2 or the winner. |

I would probably take some of these Erinn arguments more seriously if even one of them came from someone who wasn't an Erinn fan or was rooting for her as
their pre-season favorite.
I've been glancing at the Erinn fan thread at Sucks and the Erinn prediction posts elsewhere, and I'm noticing an almost 100% correlation between the people posting in both of those threads. Hey, I was rooting for Cirie or Jonathan to win Micronesia, but that didn't stop me from picking Parvati to win since the first episode. Objectivity. It's a beautiful thing. |

You might be able to take these arguments more seriously if you actually read and comprehended them, because as I've already said Stephen is the clear
choice for winner. Literacy. It's a beautiful thing.

Yeah, sorry, I don't pay attention to these "I'm picking _____ but I also think _____ could win" posts.
By this point in the season if you can't narrow it down to one pick, you're a wuss. And having Erinn as a "backup pick" is just a cheap way for her fans to save face if she loses, yet still have bragging rights on the off chance that she does win. It's lame.

Still, it seems like Erinn's gotten a pretty meaningful edit considering her place in everything that went down, Well, yes. But this wasn't the argument against her. Erinn's problem was that she lacked a personal connection to why or how she was going to win. If this had turned out to be an aberration like Guatemala or Gabon, this wouldn't have mattered. But, this has been a more "mainstream" SEG edit. The fact that she's was never my contender to win, never meant that I didn't think she had an interesting or "meaningful" edit. Just never a winner's edit, relative to others around her. |
