Both have had stellar performances, and have very strong fanbases. The outcome can go either way. If both bring it, it could be one of the best performance shows in AI history.
Here's why Adam could win:
He's been the most polarizing contestant this year, he's had flawless vocals. He has been consistant all season. He can sing almost anything, from crappy Celine Dion ballads to rocking Led Zeppelin tunes. Simon predicted he would win back in March (or April) and has moved Paula to *!$%+. If he picks the right songs, and Kris Allen defaults, he could win this whole season if he plays his cards right on May 19.
And here's why Kris might win:
Kris was the person who managed to get voted into the top 12 by horny teenage girls back in Febuary, leaving many a little suprised. But since mid-March, he has developed into one of the top contenders, and has grown a very large fanbase. Like Adam, he has been somewhat consistent, and has taken a page from David Cook and Blake Lewis, and has changed the arrangements to many songs. He also ranks as the highest placed folk singer in AI history. Also, Adam haters may vote for Kris in spite of Adam. If he brings it big time, and delivers at least two very good performances on finale night, he could end up winning the whole shitfest.
It will be a very interesting show. Or not.
