That is an absolute, meaning that there was never a sound that came out of his mouth that wasn't sheer perfection. I can say OBJECTIVELY that Adam has not been flawless. Now, if you want to argue whether he has been amazing or fantastic or OMGsosuperdupersecksy, then my disagreement would be subjective...

However, his signature vocal trick is not to everybody's taste - not even mine. It's my least favorite thing that he does.

But the problem with Drew's post is that he was doing what he was accusing Lambtards of doing: he was, in essence, chastising them for their collective, subjective poor taste. It's all subjective. If you love a certain school of rockers, and not just Freddie Mercury but Aerosmith, Led Zep, Steven Tyler, them Adam's performances are for the most part flawless. If you hate that kind of rock, you're going to probably not be an Adam fan. I don't see how Simon can call Gokey's performance a vocal master class but I recognize that it's Simon's subjective opinion. Nothing more or less.

A lot of people do, Kris is a talented guy, and I totally get it. Vote for the mellow, vote for the arrangements, even vote against the judge's favoritism. Vote for Kris because he's cuter. But cut out the homophobia. There's a difference between hating on a person's singing style, or even his behavior on the show, and hating on... who he is, when he carries it out away from the cameras in a way that hurts nobody else. His rock scream is a great rock scream as the 4 retarded judges seem to think but he overdoes it for me. I would have preferred he used it more sparingly. Born to be Wild would have been a good place perhaps. But he does have flawless control. That has been commented on throughout the music industry and community. Whether you like or hate the rock scream is a subjective matter of taste. And I can see him not being everyone's favorite recording artist. I subjectively find many of Kris's performances a bit dull or safe or understated. But I also acknowledge that he can sing, has a nice tone to his voice and can hit a homerun, like he did with Heartless.

Then you are misinterpreting what I said. I don't question people loving Adam's singing. For the record, I don't question people loving Lil's singing or Scott's singing or Sarver's singing, either, even though I thought they were horrible. That is their taste and they are welcome to it. I do object to the use of words like "flawless" because it is just inaccurate hyperbole (much like when Simon called Danny's performance a vocal master class - something with which I also disagreed). "Flawless" is NOT subjective and Adam's singing is not flawless.
