Stephen wasn't able to articulate how he was a different choice than JT. Pity.

Ramona Balboa - yea, it made me smile too! Awesome ending - hate to say it, but Jeff was right - J.T. is a great winner and Stephen was a nice runner up -
although he kind of sucked at tribal council. Stephen and J.T. hug - awww hugs all around to you all at sucks too.

Was it just me or did Coach's accent sound completely different at the reunion? To me he sounded
like he had a New York accent. I've always had a nagging suspicion that maybe he was "Borating" us but then I figured he couldn't have fooled casting/the psych examiners but now I'm not so sure. |

Did anyone see how pissed Tyson was when JT mentioned that Coach told him all of their plans? I think the demise of Timbra can be blamed all on Coach (well
also Tyson/Debbie for being dumb asses enough to align with Coach).

Feel terrible for Stephen | ||

I feel terrible for Stephen. He look devastated when he realized he didn't get ONE vote. NOT ONE! For cripe's sake! Was he so under the radar that no
one saw what he was doing? I guess so...
I think Debbie, Sierra and also Tyson said in their exit chats that they were astounded that Stephen was really running everything. They didn't see it out there. Stephen's "Under the radar is a legitimate strategy"....didn't fly with these bozos....I feel sickened all over again, like when Vecepia won....I WAS going to buy a Tocantins hat and T-shirt, but now I'm not...these people don't deserve it....Why do I watch this show? Stephen was one of my favorite all time characters and I think the editors all fell in love with him, because they certainly gave him one of the greatest survivor edits ever. The drama they HAD to create was "Is it JT or Stephen? Stephen or JT?" and create it they did...They had a lot of people fooled... And JT did outplay Stephen at tribal...He put on that wounded puppy look...Heart-breaking...and then said at the reuninon "I was playing for votes!" Lololol.. Poor Stephen! I have to say it but there was a ton of anti-semitism in this "No votes for Stephen" ending. It really sickens me... But don't worry Stephen! ORANGEENA LOVES YOU! Maybe someday we'll meet and *sigh* No. That'll never happen...But you played a great game Stephen! And JT outplayed you at the Tribal council. The way Todd and Parvati out-played Amanda who also choked. And JT threw the "Yale" reference at the jury. They probably didn't even know that Stephen went there. And that could've twisted their tiny minds, too. "Oh, let's not give the Ivy League educated JEW a million dollars! Let's give it to the cute po' farm boy!" I'm sorry but it makes me sick. Guess I'll see you all in the Fall...If I can get over this... But Stephen you really were wonderful! |

Firstly, I still think Coach is a douche. I completely agree that I was not surprised that he passed a lie detector test... I am quite certain that he
perceives himself to be telling the truth. Or, at least, with the phrasing of the question "were you attacked by natives while on the Amazon" leaves
it open that any minor altercation with someone on the Amazon would validate him. Secondly, I feel badly for Stephen, but JT freakin' delivered like
Domino's when it came to the jury. Does JT have an acting background? Because, DAMN, I've sat through good tribal councils, I've watched Neleh
gush, Brian fail to connect to human emotions and nearly blow it, Rob wondering how he can talk Amber out of a prenup, and Chris spew bullshit from every pore
and I've never seen anything like this, in terms of WORKING the jury. This was no Earl bulldozing two people the jury loathed, it was no Jenna or Sandra
annihilating the tribe's pariah, this was a matchup that, on paper, should have been at least somewhat close that turned to a slaughter. JT used Stephen as
his bad cop... he got Stephen to do all the backstabbing and take all the blame; Stephen had to betray Coach, Stephen had to turn on the entire Exile Alliance,
Stephen had to throw Taj to the wolves.... and that created four jurors that would have reason to feel betrayed by Stephen rather than JT. In fact, the Exile
Alliance is what did him in, I believe. Regardless, when you consider that Lillian, Katie, and Matt each got one vote, and Kim got two.... that's got to
smart for Stephen, because he wasn't at all a bad player so much as a player that was severely outplayed in the jury stage. He's Amanda in Rob
Cesternino's clothes... what he actually was able to accomplish wasn't clearly visible to the jury as compared to their partner in crime and was not
rewarded. I actually think Erinn would have been a much harder matchup for JT. Granted, JT would still have won, but Taj said she'd have voted for Erinn,
and I think Sierra would have too, and I think it's quite possible that Coach would have punished JT for not taking the worthy opponent (because that way
he could save face). I don't think Erinn could have swung Debbie or Brendan, but it's not completely impossible.

That was funny what Stephen said about Debbie asking him such a difficult question, and following up with a question to J.T. about why he is so wonderful.
I like the idea of JT and Stephen being business partners for some reason, I guess it certifies my delusion that reality show people I like can be close friends after the show. |

Orangeena wrote:More than one player has stated that they would have voted differently had they known what they learned upon watching the television show. Stephen should have gotten at least one or two votes, but this is not a fair game. J.T. did a brilliant job. He played everyone without looking like he was playing anyone. This is the type of winner JP and MB love, someone who excels at the challenges and the social game. They hate seeing "weak" people who are good schemers and u-t-r win over challenge hogs. (But that's who really survives in life). When J.T. said, "This game was made for me", I knew he won. J.T. worked that jury. I am remembering Season 1 when Rich sat down and tried to think about what kind of questions the jury would ask. Then I remember Robfather totally ignoring the jury and spending his last day frolicking with Amber and then getting blindsided by the jury. I remember Chris shoveling manure that the jury ate up and Jenna M. answering questions with the skill of a beauty pageant contestant and Brian nearly blowing it and Earl drubbing two of the most disliked final opponents and Amanda giving two really bad appearances in the finals. For the life of me, I do not understand why 90% of the players don't give the jury a single thought. Why did Stephen vote out Taj? Maybe Stephen suffered from the same thing that happened to Rafe and Ian who threw their games away near the end. It is really odd to se someone play a great game all season and sort of fall apart at the end. Trixiego and Romona Balboa -- Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! for the great PBP. |

Especially since they all played such cerebral games up to that point. Stephen was up against a buzzsaw and knew it. He tried to go for it and got egg all over his face. If anyone from this cast is invited back I'd vote for Stephen. |
