Still, I am happy for Kris, though sad that he apparently won as much due to Adam hate and Xtian dupeage than actual fans. Poor Kris will likely be killed by a win. He will be forced to churn out an album quickly, and will likely have little input in the writing. They will promote the Hell out of it and be pissed if it does not get a mega opening week gross. This is NOT he way to go with a singer/songwriter/coffee hourse troubador like Kris. This kind of artist really needs a slow burn (not a slow ride) and a very careful build. Not gonna happen with an IDol winner. KRis got more votes, Adam's fans will likely have more cash and spend it. Just hope Allie does well out of the gate.

I think you're underestimating Kris' fans and overestimating Adam's.

Love to see Simon and Paula pissed! None of them will have long careers anyway. Adam will go back to broadway where he should stay.

Look how many years Mraz went between hits, and how long he was doing small clubs before he hit the first time. And I think Adam has more fans. More votes does not mean more fans. That said, I do like Kris. My third favorite this season.

The material will have to be GREAT and a winner's album has never been GREAT. Carrie's debut was strong to quite strong as was Cook's but there is just so much input from corporate it is impossible to put out a true creative project. Kris will do well, I will buy his album, but I don't know if 19 will know how to do right by him. The best thing they can do is just lay off as much as possible... let him do what he does.

And neither got the label support and promotion they deserved. I hope that lessons were learned and both Adam and Kris get much better material, way more respect, and the promotion two humble guys with their talent deserve. I'm tired of hearing crap on the radio and I would listen to these two over 99% of the artists on the radio these days.

No one wants to buy any glam rock shizz. Kris, on the other hand, will put out something John Mayer-esque and sell a moderate amount of albums. In a few years, Adam will be starring in some production of The Rocky Horrow Picture Show and Kris will be sitting in the audience at the AI Finale next to Guarini and when the camera pans to him everyone will be like "Oh hey, there's Kris. Wonder what he's up to." Still glad for the KRISPWNAGE.

I just could not see Kris in a packed to capacity stadium and pulling it off. The size of the venue would dwarf him.
