He does beautiful, haunting spins with the melody of a song and breathes his life into it, making it his own. Unfortunately for Kris, b/c of the fucking over-hype from THE MACHINE, he won't get the recognition he deserves. There will be a tremendous backlash from AdamGate. You watch.

But I have EVERY SINGLE one of Kris's songs. They connect with me every time, and many times I find them better than the original. Grats Kris on getting to sing that sucky coronation song. Realistically, Kris will get to co-write a few of his debut songs, unless 19 has learned it's lesson; harnessing Bo and Taylor, who have both gone on to release MUCH better albums as Indie artists than they did with 19. If Kris can hang on for a sophomore project, he will start to see some artistic elbow room. That's when he gets a chance to show what he has to offer as a songwriter. I hope he does well, but I see him singing on missions and at revivals in the near future. More power to him.

I think this is the first time AI has a winner who is a not a big voice belter, but sings in a softer, more subtle way. About time. I would have been happy with Adam, Allison or Kris winning, but given lack of pimpage and his more subtle vocal style, it's refreshing to see Kris win--the big voice mindless belter style is not in style right now--check out the charts. Plus Kris is a class act and not one of those hateful homophobic "Christians" that we see far too often in the media. Looking forward to lots of Kradam on the post show interview circuit and the tour.

David took creative control over his debut Idol album and co-wrote pretty much every song. Now the singles are the 2 songs he didn't have a hand in, which pisses me off to know end, but I'm hoping Kris goes the David route (in writing his own). Kris is definitely a Michael Buble or Jason Mraz, which is great. Idol needs someone like him. :)
