But Clay ended up doing much better than Ruben in record sales. I think that's what they mean.

My mom and brother didn't even know he was gay (I told them tonight).. it wasn't that obvious. Seriously, putting my personal opinions of Adam aside, I don't think he was that great of a singer. His style was TERRIBLE. Props on a song or two like Mad World (very well done), but the rest sucked... He should not be aiming to be active in the rock genre... the screeching is terrible, and I just don't like his voice personally... He was completely overrated. This is my true honest opinion.. maybe if he went a different direction, and held back on the screaming, or the theatrics, I could have liked his singing. But I really think he SUCKED. Completely overrated. Kris is boring.. but I still thought Kris sang better than him.. and he appeals to a much wider demographic.. And hell, as much as I despise Danny, I think Danny sings better to (and again, he appeals to a much wider demographic)... The rightful winner this season was ALLISON.

I like Adam better, I wanted him to win but that doesn't mean that Kris is less deserving than Adam and that he "should never have won" blah, blah, blah. I just hope Allison doesn't get lost in all this. Her duet w/ Cyndi Lauper was outstanding.
