Well I have mixed feelings about tonight. I thought I was fine with either of them winning, but part way through the show I decided I really hoped Adam would win. So I feel kind of disappointed in a way, but I do think Adam will be fine, perhaps better, without the win. He will have great success and won't have to sing that horrific song over and over. I'm sure he was disappointed that he didn't win, but felt genuinely happy for Kris.

I'm happy for Kris, but hope he doesn't put himself down, thinking he only won because of the Christian vote. I think he would have been happy to be the runner up, but hopefully this will help him get established faster. Simon is such an asshole for not standing and applauding Kris, because he knows he has the rights to Adam's CD anyway and that Adam will be big. Way to make someone who might feel bad for beating Adam, feel even worse.

As has already been said, there are many reasons why Kris may have won over Adam, just because of personal taste. I have friends who wanted Adam to win and others who wanted Kris to win, and none of their reasons had anything to do with Adam being gay or Kris being very into his church. They just preferred one performer and his music over the other. I do think the overpimped versus underdog did play a factor though.

No way can Kris be compared to Taylor Hicks. Taylor Hicks only won because of the "Soul Patrol" voters who ended up not buying his music. He did not deserve to win at all. Kris is very talented and I think he will do well with people who like that kind of music, which is popular today. Will he be as big as Adam, probably not, but there's still a market for his music.

I still love both of them and will stand in line to buy each of their CDs as soon as possible.

Adam was awesome with Kiss and Queen, and overall I thought it was a great show. The fake award parts were stupid and annoying, and Rod Stewart needs to retire.
