I had to tape the finale, and fast forward through most of the performances, when I heard what "stars" they had lined up to perform. Wow, how
desparate is AI when they only have these relics willing to show up. Cringe time for me....it's just painful to see these faded stars from the past
trying to resurrect their careers... Rod Stewart, Cindy Lauper, Kiss, Lionel Ritchie, Steve Martin (???) and sad to say Queen. With the exception of
Black-Eyed Peas - WTF - couldn't they find anyone under 50. To his credit and to save some respect, Bowie, probably said no when he found out who was
performing!
On a side note, Brad "Cheeks", Adam's former BF has on his Myspace, something I kinda like Take a listen to "Take it In" Apparently it's available on Itunes. Maybe he should audition next year. His vids are hilarious too! http://www.myspace.com/theboyfromvenus

I don't really put too much bearing in who won when considering that down the road the real story will be the music we're actually listening to right
now. I do think Adam's personality makes him stand out more, but whether or not that translates is to be seen.

watchign kris on leno now.
damn i really like this kid. he has a GREAT demeanor. i watched idol through the season but mainly paid my attention to adam and never caught up in anything other than the broadcast so i don't know personalities, backgrounds etc. hated idol due to the modern r&b bland blah monotone moaning and whining crap i actually now care to see both these kids do well. whether i like their output is not my concern. they deserve to do well. yay! |

Two years running--super decent, emotionally generous guys place 1-2. Love that.
Plus 3 out of 4 sets of parents who are great. I think Kris' parents, especially his Dad, get the win. Love them. (Unfortunately, Archie's parents suck, even though he is a very nice kid.) |
