Did they do this for Adam? We need to know--because if not, that is basically like the show helping one contestant win as AT&T is the majority sponsor. I want the answer to this. I agree....we need to find out more. I mean, every year we go through this....about something being unfair or rigged. But you know, certainly if there was something that violated rules or truly wasn't fair to one then I do want to know about it. It seems to me that getting 38 million votes just from Arkansas is a little bizarre I mean that's more than 1/3 of the total vote count just from one state. Out of the whole country????? This matter needs to be dealt with officially! It can never happen again! We need to plan a course of action! If this is true, they are losing my business after 15 years of business. OMG if this is true we need to protest. How do we find out?? What do we do??? I can't believe what I just read, we need to do something. First we need to find out if AT&T gave out phones, opened up lines for Adam and hosted parties. OMG I'M TOTALLY TICKED WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON !!!!! When the lines opened up I could only text vote because the lines where jammed for 31/2 hours or more. How many Adam fans stayed up until nearly 1 o'clock in the morning to vote. I WISH I KNEW MORE AND WILL WE EVER KNOW ?????? PLEASE EVERYONE DON'T LET THIS JUST DIE AND BE ACCEPTED.

Kris' fans did the same & he came out as the winner...that's it, end of story. If Arkansas did cast 38 million votes then good for them, why is that so wrong? California could have done the same but didn't.

I felt sorry for him, cuz you can't hate the dude. Don't get me wrong Kris puts his heart and soul into his performances. He is a musican, but the vocals are not there...or maybe something is wrong with my TV speakers-LOL

It showed that he was singing a song that was in the wrong key. If you get any singer and have them sing a song that's a third to high for them they're going to sound horrible, no matter how good or well trained they are. James Taylor and Paul Simon would sound equally bad if they were forced to sing songs that were written in the wrong key for them or that were just not their style.

AT&T says, "We can't confirm how many votes were cast in Arkansas, and we can't comment on the number of votes for any contestant." - Natasha Collins, AT&T spokeswoman. One of two possibilities, IMO: -it's untrue, in which case they would probably deny it and not provide a real number. -it's true, someone leaked the info inappropriately, and they are in damage control so as not to undermine Kris' victory.

As posted it's totally feasible that a small amount of people could cast that many votes, 38 000 x 1000 votes each for example and judging by home comings etc a larger number of Arkansas' people were hardcore supporting Kris.

I honestly think that Kris has a vocal talent that is at least very nearly equal to that of Adam. It's just a different style. Kris can't do the rangy belting with the skill or finesse that Adam can. It's just not in his voice. On the other hand, when Adam does the subdued thing, his voice doesn't have the nuance or purity of Kris'. Yes, on Idol, they are forced to do songs that work against their natural abilities. In the real world that is not the case. Kris will [hopefully] never have to belt across three octaves, and Adam will never have to go against his strengths, either.
