Let's hope those few thousand Arkansas Tweens and their parents have unlimited spending cash to go with their unlimited text messages and each buy 1000 albums of Kris's each. If they don't, Kris is unlikely to outsell Adam or other powerhouses like Kelly or Carrie. Simon is a smart man: he knew the Southerners/Arkansas power voters could win it for Kris but he knows Adam can make him serious money.

I just hope for Kris's sake he does better than Taylor and has a decent career. You don't need to sell as much as Kelly or Daughtry to have a career.

Were you not around finale night? Or any of the nights before when Adam and Kris (and Allison) fans all said that they were both very good but both very different. I didn't hear anyone really bashing either side.

As for who succeeds as an artist it has far more to do with the songs they produce and the marketing they get than their ability to sing. Ashley Simpson has sold a lot of albums and she can't sing a bit, she sold the albums because she has a good songwriter and a good agent. An artists ability to sing is far less important than the songs that they release and their marketing. Hell, Paula sold a lot of albums and had a lot of hits and we all know she can't sing.

I think that it will be much easier for 19E to produce a good album for Kris, they've probably got a ton of songs already written for his type of singer. They could probably (after seeing him last night) do a dual release with a setting of each song as country and as mainstream. If they get his music as the background in a nice movie or a good commercial or during some heartfelt moment on Greys Anatomy it will help him sell records. I predict he will do at least as well or better than $%#$+* did. He showed during the show that he has the ability to choose good songs and do them in a way that fits him as an artist and that people will like listening to. That's all he needs to do.

Adam is going to have a harder road ahead just because no one is sure what box he fits in and he could end up like Clay Aken selling a lot of albums at first and touring well but not getting much airplay because he just doesn't fit in mainstream radio, he's not going to be able to have the bump of being background music because he's big and loud and not background. He also is very smart though and I predict that he'll make good business choices. Has he said what type of album he plans on producing?
