Doesn't it seem though, and I am just going by what we all hear, that Kate has removed all of the family and friends from the lives of those kids?

Cara is learning to ski so she had lessons and then they did ski together. Cara is the athlete and he does spend a lot of time w/her doing sports and she
glows when she is around him. The first ski trip they had a lot of bonding moments.
BTW she didnt write the book Multiple Blessings, her former best friend did, and gave Kate and later Jon 'credit.' Did you notice how she threatened to leave the girls home, when the girls were ready and waiting? That woman is such a drama queen.

As for Jon, I have defended him due to the unreasonable nature of Kate, but no more. He really needs to MAN UP and stop being the petulant skater boi teen wannabe! WTF, Jon...did you think having 8 kids was going to be easy? You cannot be serious with the teenage angst, man. Get the fuck over yourself and get busy with your kids! You can never, EVER get this precious time back! Put your selfish bullshit on hold and be the father they need. If you don't love Kate anymore, hey...it happens. You cannot just "check out" on your children, however. What a God-awful trainwreck this has become, eh? Dear sweet Katie Irene "soldiering on" while sullen Jon Boy sulks in the background. Kate could have had that party in her own back yard and made it easier than she did. If she makes it easy for herself she won't get so much sympathy. I
think they both are looking for a pity party. Jon whines alot and she is a total bitch and wants everyone to feel sorry for her. The only ones I feel sorry
for is the kids. They should have quit this year and worked on their marriage, unless it was too late, which it really looks that way.
As far as college for the kids they can go for scholarships and student loans, just like everyone else does. My boss has 6 kids, 4 of them are in college now, 2 at Georgia Tech, one at Boston College and one at Rutgers and the Twins are in Catholic school and will be joining the others in college in 2010. Some will have some scholorship money and some not, they will have school loans. That is how real life works. Jon can get another IT job and Kate can go back to nursing when the kids are in school, life is a bitch but people do it all the time. |

I'm not interested in watching the "Kate Plus 8" show. I hope this is the last season. You can bet Kate's already got a mediawhore backup plan to keep the dough rolling in. I mean, how unfortunate would it be if she had to lose her McMansion (that the "kids deserve"!!) and downsize a bit? |

John seemed stoned on tonights episode. Either he's smoking up trying to deal with not being a college boy anymore, or else the doc's have him on some
heavy duty anti-depressants.
Kate seemed like she was trying too hard to appear happy and fun loving. She laughed off the bugs in the dining area, last season she would have been yelling at John for not controlling the pest population. I think she's alot more conscience of her public image now that there is a public debate on who is the better parent and who should have custody of the kids if it all ends in divorce. |
