There is also a lot of talk on other sites that she was told to skip the cycle by her doctor, but Jon and Kate went home and banged and got all of those eggs fertilized the natural way. Supposedly she changed doctors between her sets of multiples because the first won was taking things way too conservatively. |

Jon & Kate: $10 Million Divorce?![]() Scandal-plagued pair Jon and Kate Gosselin's may be headed for a nasty $10 million divorce, reports National Enqurier. "Jon said their goal is to be legally separated by July 15 because Kate wants to move on quickly," an insider reveals. "Jon is going to push for half of their money, but Kate is determined to hang on to as much as she can - and they're worth more than you think⦠Needless to say, there's a small fortune at stake here - easily $10 million. And Jon and Kate will be fighting over it like cats and dogs!" TLC says it has plans to renew Jon & Kate Plus 8, which kicked off its fifth season on Monday to a record 9.8 million viewers - more than double the show's previous series high. "The show's ratings have grown consistently, as there has been interest in these real-life issues of this real-life family," TLC said in a statement to E! News. "We will continue to air as the interest continues, and the family wants to do it." |

Put that 10 million into a trust fund for the kids and forget these two.

I just rewatched the ep with the kids' third birthday, and while Kate was still a shrewish bitch and I still think these two were totally sick of each
other, it is JARRING to see how much she's changed. The comparison with her in her stilettos and shades going for her party shopping photo op this year vs.
her in sweats and a t-shirt and cute hair, painting in the garage two years ago...when you see the two images side by side, it's impossible not to notice
how in love with her own "fame" this woman is.

It's funny because it seems like Jon is sufferring the same malaise that some housewives get. I kind of wish every man could go through this so he could
see that being the homemaker isn't just about sitting around eating bon bons all day. It is mentally difficult - to feel like you have no purpose other
than to be bossed around by your family and belittled by your spouse. The lack of self worth, boredom and depression can be overwhelming and having lots of
kids to take care of doesn't erase that (I know he has help, but still.)

I have never watched this show, but can't help but follow some of the current drama b/c it is shoved down our throats.
Jon...no wonder he drinks! |

Kate has become worse and worse. I wonder, after the separation and divorce, she will try to punish him by keeping the kids from him. I just know she will
fight tooth and nail to keep all the money, watch for episodes where she is the sole caregiver as her fight for custody will begin and her family is not behind
her. TLC is going to follow her because Jon is sick of the cameras and she loves them. She is also tv gold, with her meltdowns, self-entitlement and
bossiness. She is so controlling, I am afraid that she is going to try to structure the kids daddy times so it is either inconvenient for him or already set
up her way so he gets very little say. I can also foresee her criticizing him every chance she gets when he does do things with the kids.

I think the state of Penn should investigate the working hours of the kids...the mere fact that Kate, and who are we kidding, it was Kate, agreed to 40
episodes this season means she cares more about her bank account than her kids.
Jon has numerous, NUMEROUS, faults. But I do think he's the better parent. Would he throw out the teddy bear because of some gum? Never. |

TLC Not Letting Go of Jon & Kate Plus 8
Some people complain that the stars' marital troubles have become painful to watch, but despite (or because of) those troubles, the fifth-season premiere earned monster ratings. "The show's ratings have grown consistently, as there has been interest in these real-life issues of this real-life family," TLC said in a statement to E! News. "We will continue to air as the interest continues, and the family wants to do it." The network is also ordering 40 episodes, doubling the previous season's order. TLC's decision to feature the media frenzy surrounding the Gosselin's marriage in the fifth-season opener helped draw 9.8 million viewers. It was the most-watched Memorial Day program on all of television, and TLC's highest-rated show ever. TVGuide.com |

I can hear the TLC producer to Kate now: "You're a STAR, baby! A STAR!"

40 episodes?? That's a cool $1.2 million. I guess they're realizing they will need to have 2 McMansions between which to shuttle 8 kids, and that this
is the easiest way to pay for the second one.

Yeah, we'll see when the divorce goes through just how much Jon wants to be "normal." again. Can't imagine he'll be driving a 1993
toyota tercel and living in a one-bedroom apartment, with a 9-5 IT job anytime too soon, which is what would happen if they never did the show.
Although he wants no part of the limelight, and Kate is being so highly criticized for it, he'll certainly want his half of the revenue. Sure, Kate had a ghost writer for the book, and everyone wants to hang her to dry for it, but he won't have any problem getting his half of its profits as well. Kate is a total Type A personality, who feels very out of control when things are not scheduled, and planned, and coordinated. Add having 6 babies all at once who's care is dependent upon that type of control and scheduling and its easy to see how she got out of hand with her control-freak side. Jon is a laid back slacker of a guy, who probably hasn't picked his own socks out of the middle of the living room floor for 10 years without her having to nag him for it. Add having a little mini-mid-life crisis to that, with a cute little check texting him 100 times a day, reassuring him that he got the raw end of the deal, and that he has been horribly, horribly taken advantage of by being expected to bathe his kids, and take care of them, and you can see how he has turned into the sullen, sulking teenager that he is. Nothing either of these two could have done would have kept them as angels in the public eye. NO parent could be scrutinized that closely and not be picked apart for their parenting styles. NO parent could parent 8 kids without nagging once in a while, or proclaiming that they were tired of cleaning up their diapers, etc. They both need to buck up and realize that they have what they have - 8 kids, a crazy life, a relatively secure financial situation, etc. and make the best of it. |

Jon And Kate Plus 8 Mom To Release New Cookbook - Love Is In The Mix: Making Meals Into MemoriesMay 28, 2009 AT 07:31 am
When the iron is hot - STRIKE. Personally, I would be curling up in a corner and crying myself to sleep if I had to deal with what Kate Gosselin is going through right now. The 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' season opener made me cry for this family and their disconnect. But the people who are surrounding Kate and are responsible for her career have no intentions of giving this couple some time to get back to normal. Instead, the mom of 8 is about to begin yet another book tour promoting her latest of three - Love is in the Mix: Making Meals into Memories. The cookbook is supposed to help its readers learn to:
Naturally, there is controversy surrounding this release as well. Many are claiming that Kate plagiarized most of her recipes. |

There was some episode where she made fun of Jon for using a recipe. I guess if it brings in $$ then it's okay to use a recipe. |
