So I guess in certain schools they really do have choirs that perform like this. Not around here though, that I know of.

I played DSB for my brother and sister and they hated it. My brother specifically said about Lea Michelle that her type of voice is empty and passionless without any understanding of the lyrics she is singing. I hate him.

I think it was on the 8th listen of "I hate California Girls" that they decided they now hate Stephin Merritt.

Whenever they raise their hands they fold so strangely. It's so distracting to me. Anyway, sorry to break it to you Pseudo, but your siblings are clearly going to hell. Insulting an Angel of the Lord can't be a clever end-game strategy. :-(

Posts: 194 (06/01/09 6:48 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	2 things bothered me about the Fairfield vids: 1) The movement was either so irrelevant to the lyrics and very stiff from many of the kids - or it was like looking at your wrist when you say the word "time". Too cheesy and predictable. I thought the Rehab video's choreography was AMAZING. 2) The mist/smoke effect - they used in 2 songs. Blah. Scheriously? In Glee - I thought Don't Stop Believing's movement was a bit cheesy - like pointing arms at each other etc. I hope they kick it up a notch in the future for that "10". I did a Concert Choir in school - not as much dancing, but it was a "show choir". Our first year we did movie soundtracks (Goldfinger, Singing in the Rain, Time Warp, Streets of Philadelpia, Say A Little Prayer for You etc.). It was really fun. Can't wait for more Glee!

I can see where they are coming from because throughout the song, she does sound emotionless at times, like there is no umph to her singing, it's just a person singing. That's kinda how show choir is though, I did it for six years from middle school to high school. So many times it's you standing up their with a big ass fake smile and singing and dancing with no heart or soul because you've done the same routine 100 times in one week.

Maybe once or twice we swayed and/or clapped. c) we wore the standard black dress. Once in while if we were really feeling bold we might have thrown in a white blouse. And we were thankful to have talked the chorus director out of the church-robe looking gowns. This is just one more example of kids today having way more fun than we did growing up. I say we protest. Make them stand there & sing the state song looking like idiots like we had to. DANGIT!
