While Micheal was not my favourite character, in season 1 the awkwardness of this new responsablility he gave up was well done. I know we aren't at season2 yet, but in Adrift when he is calling out for Walt gives me chills & I cry everytime. The pain that Michale felt at that moment was wonderful. Harold Parreneau did a great job. The arc of his story is a very interesting & under noticed one.Finally. Someone out there agrees with me about Michael. People seem to forget he didn't know how to be a full time dad yet. Walt was a bit of an ass sometimes (as we found out later in that hotel scene). I didn't see Mike as controlling. He was trying to take care of Walt in a chaotic situation with a bunch of strangers around. From a mom's perspective, I wouldn't want my kid hanging around Locke either. Noone knew him. Assuming Walt would be safe with him is not an assumption I would make. He had a shit load of knives and acted freaky! I would want my kid by my side as much as possible.
And while everyone else was tired of hearing WAALLLTTT and I want my boy - all I could think of was .. well.. wtf would you be saying if your child was kidnapped? Oops.. getting ahead of myself.
I always liked Michael...
