Another dear abby thread but whatever.
You weren't really friends before, the person pretty much "fancied you" from the start, and although you like him/her well enough and
wouldn't mind being friends, you know you'll never feel the same way.
Should you just pretend you don't notice and be friends, knowing you're making things difficult for him? or rather tell them its better not to have
contact so they can move on?
PS. You met at a birthday, talked and kept in touch online, so you dont run into each other in rl places.

generally, if I like being friends with them, I pretend I don't know and keep on being friends. or sometimes we'll have a discussion and I'll say
'it's up to you if you wanna keep knowing me or not.' either way, I don't have to make the decision.
at the moment though, I am in the other position. =( |
